I've been using Gronk, Delanie Walker, Kittle and lately Vernon Davis (in the slot) on 50/50 49ers Theme Team. Ultimately, it depends on what you are doing. If you run a lot, nothing truly compares with Gronk's 1AP Vanguard ability, it's second to none and that alone will keep him relevant for a while. Certainly understand where you are coming from, specifically in the passing game.
Vernon Davis is so legit i've slid him into TE2, but he's been my primary Slot receiver for the past week+ and if you get him alone in the flat, or on the outside in 1v1 situations, he'll almost certainly break a tackle and be off to the races. His RBK stat is atrocious, almost insultingly so, but can't have cards that excel at everything, or so it seems.
I'm pigeon-holed into the 49ers universe, but i'd also glance at Chief, Unicorn and maybe even the Game Changers option, as those cards are typically next level, from what little i gather. Doubt we'll see more dual 0AP Ability Buckets for some time, if ever.
