Probably 46 playbook, but maybe consider the Chiefs defense, as well. I'm pigeon-holed into the 49ers playbook, but it's not the best... i'm bias.

This is the problem, i'm trying desperately to find a way to go back to pure Man, but it's already feeling pointless. Even with 1AP Inside Shade (Cromartie), and NTL (with both Inside and Outside Shade), i continually get torched with the sideline throws. No amount of abilities or high end corners are able to keep up with these buggy ass routes. My DBs seem to be looking at the stands, maybe their mother is in the crowd, i dunno.
I've been running; Deion, Tariq Woolen, Perry Williams, Cromartie... now Nighttrain Lane -- the result is basically the same, no matter what. Unless i generate instant pressure, which means basically a free rusher to the QB, i'm getting absolutely smoked on sideline throws. It's basically the reason i was forced to convert to Zone in the first place. /sigh
Please tell me it's just the adjustments i'm mucking up and that it's me and not this buggy ass game, where folks run the same (two or three) plays over and over and over. Even on Play Action, i typically find myself "Guessing Pass" and nothing helps.

this has been the story of MUT 23 for me as well lol. Those corner routes always beat man coverage no matter what abilities you run, and even if their play rec and awareness is boosted they still only play the ball half of the time, even against the CPU. I very quickly switched to zone and have been there ever since. The key is adjusting the amount of yards on your flats. I usually do 20 or 25 if they keep doing corner routes

This is basically how it is. You can have a 99 defensive back but because of the glitchy corner routes unless you make PERFECT adjustments & block off their second or third reads you’ll have success. But there’s some people who will use corner routes the whole game & you just need to adjust to their exact routes

Ya it’s mad frustrating. I still like the man abilities because they’ve made PLAYS for me.
I keep an eye on the personnel my opponent is using when I’m picking a play. I also make sure cover 4 with cloud flat adjustments is an audible. Usually their personnel package will tip to me if they are going to run a corner route or not as they will run it out of the same formation. If I guessed wrong, I audible to cover 4 which will bag most of that. Man will take care of pretty much everything else.
My favorite formation is Sugar weak in pats playbook. Pinch blitz is great and you can take one of the Blitzing LBs and user him over the middle and still get insane pressure. Same with cover 2. But if they are throwing corners, hit them with cover 4.

Don’t listen to any of my advice. I’ve been getting smoked in mut champions today lol.

i very much appreciate any and all advice and input, especially as a fairly new, first-time MUT player (started back in December). I've watched EA torch more than franchise i adore (NFL & Star Wars), so i have to assume at this point the low-effort stuff is basically par for the course.
At least you're able to play MUT Champs, i had basically given up, but will need a miracle (and some actual wins) if i'm hoping to pull off the Raheem Mostert (200 CP) reward from this cycle. Only have 5 regular season MUT wins thus far, keep coming up short in the few feeble attempts i've made with MUT Champs... running out of bonuses and Solo battles, think i'm at 171 CP presently. Wish me luck, i'll need it! And same to ya, hope your afternoon turns around and you come away with some dubs.
I need to do less bitching and moaning on here and more research, although I'm not convinced there is a solution. Certain routes just seem to torch Man, no matter what. I keep hoping it's just me, but alas, i am only part of the problem. What's your team composition look liek? Not trying to hijack this thread, but i'd be curious to hear more about what has worked (or what has NOT worked) for you and your squad. I think i wasted a bunch of effort and resources trying to cobble together the Mission MUT squad with my Walker Wayfarers. Decent cards, but almost certainly a downgrade from what I've been running on my 50/50 (now 40/40 after adding 6 Mission MUT space rangers) 49ers squad.

Ya man, sometimes you match with the sweat lords and then you get a string of games where infuriating sh*t happens.
I loathe mutchamps because of how sweaty it is but need to level my field pass. did decent last week but off to a bad start.
Last game I had the opening kick off teed up for a TD but NTL decides to turn around and run into my returner….. the next play Big Dog jumps over the guy he is supposed to block so I lose 5 yards. I end up getting to the ten yard line and throw to flash who is wide open, but he clicks on to his safety and gets a glitchy animation. Gotta just quit and take the L sometimes.

Friday night will hopefully be filled with casuals (liek me) and you'll be stomping us folks out in no time and blowing past that 200 CP mark. Good luck and early-grats... you got this! Me? Not so much, but i dare to dream... or remain delusional enough to think i might still have a shot.
Mostert will/would actually make my squad as HB2 and KR/PR.
