mut.gg abilities tier list ranks gunslinger as gold and set feet lead as elite, but everywhere i check i see that the 4 abilities that everyone is using for the new Tebow are Gunslinger, Pass Lead Elite, Hot Route Master and Fearless. is that the best way to go? should i drop Set Feet Lead in favor of Gunslinger?
Are you running set feet lead and pass lead elite at the same time? The way I understand it sfl and ple do similar enough things you only need one. Combine that with some releases being slow, and you get the reason most prefer having gunslinger over both sfl and ple.

yes sir. my current setup is set feet lead, pass lead elite, fearless and hrm. should i drop set feet lead and equip gunslinger instead?

That's what I would do. If you find yourself playing worse you can always switch back.

You don’t need SFL and PLE.
PLE works with your feet set and on the run.
SFL ONLY works with your feet set.
And yes Gunslinger is a very good ability for any QB if It’s 0-1 AP. The 4 abilities you mentioned for Tebow are what you want.

Exactly, PLE is just upgraded SFL
Thats why you see all the top qb run the same 4 abilities for 4 ap or less

I see that for a bunch of abilities...see people still running Speedster, etc even though it says avoid...

You do not need both SFL/PLE at the same time. You only need one of those two, plus a few other abilities on your QB:
Fearless - Cancels out the QBs under pressure penalty caused by defenders while inside the pocket, as well the added under penalty caused by players with Under Pressure and Edge Threat Elite (a combination of Under Pressure and Edge Threat).
Gunslinger - Speeds up your QBs throwing animation. If your QB has a bad release (say you have 99 Tom Brady, or a QB with Slinger 1, a release with a terrible deep ball animation), Gunslinger will speed up that release. If your QB doesn’t really need it (say you have a Slinger 3 QB) or you could spend your AP better on another player (using that AP on Secure Protector for an o-lineman or Route Technician on a receiver), than I suggest you don’t use Gunslinger. You really only need Fearless, HRM, and SFL/PLE depending on your QBs release.
Hot Route Master - Gives every eligible receiver four extra hot routes, some of the best routes in the game, making many more formations viable.
Pass Lead Elite/Set Feet Lead - Both of these abilities give your QB extra throw power/velocity on bullet precision passes (except for high/low passes). The difference is SFL only works while your QBs feet are set, hence the name Set Feet Lead.
I hope you understand why people run these abilities on their QBs now.
