EA took over 20 million coins… Calling it quits.

A little background,

A few days ago I saw a member on here asking for help, so I helped them. Bought multiple elite cards for a total of around 350k? Got a few messages from others asking for help too, I figured hey, why not? In total, probably gave out around 1 million through buying a lot of elites.

Woke up this morning to an email. It’s all gone. Over 20 million coins wiped, with my account left at zero. I’m thinking I have to just call it quits at this point? I’ve spent far more real dollars than I’d like to admit on packs. Have hundreds of hours logged onto the game this year. Was not involved in Christmas glitch, egg glitch, or this recent pack odd glitch. A few weeks back I spent $30 on points that I never even received and lost that dispute. 

I’m sure I could restart. I could sell the whole team off and build some type of coins again and just save for rookie premiere and try again next year, no money spent, of course. I have 3 million training worth of cards I bought, thinking prices would go back up. I could sell those or quick sell and roll the training.

I don’t know… I get it. Technically, broke the terms by helping some good members here with measly amounts of coins. But to completely wipe hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours worth of legitimate grinding really rubs me the wrong way.

Right. I had more fun giving the coins away than actually playing lmao

They literally stole from you. Time is money and there is no excuse for it.

Until they can prove that you broke their ToS (which they obviously can't), it's an easy arbitrary case. 

Send a letter to their legal department threatening to drag them through the arbitrary case, which they have to pay for anyway, and you will get everything back and maybe even more.

Works every time, but takes time for them to receive the letter and process the case.

that email is totally disgusting. Sending coins to any other account is coin distribution? Well then I guess anybody who uses the auction house is guilty. 
 

this company is pure trash. They put features in the game and screw people who use them - it makes literally no sense and should be illegal. Hell it might be 🤷‍♂️

Damn brother this just hurt me. I guess  "Nice guys do finish last" 😬

They literally have records of the offending transactions. That’s all the proof they need. 
 

Trust me - it’s scummy as hell but that’s how EA runs their business. By  the OP helping guys out, it took potential money out of their pockets.

To play devil's advocate - I didn't really do anything "wrong." I didn't receive any coin. I simply just bought cards for bad prices. What if I just didn't filter well enough or what if I didn't know how much cards should go for? While that is a reach, it still applies. 

I understand the taking money out of their pocket, but I feel it's excessive to completely wipe my account of all coins, when they could easily look back at transactions to show how much I've spent throughout the year. Could've blocked my auction temporarily, or taken some coin - but to take over 20 million, for giving out 1 million? Meanwhile, others have hundreds of millions due to glitches and that's no problem.

As someone who has taken multiple bans throughout the years, I completely agree the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. 
 

But to say EA can’t prove it was warranted is a stretch. They have bots watching for transactions like yours and the bots don’t care how many coins you have, how much money you’ve spent or how many years you‘ve played madden. 
 

It‘s just a sad reality of what this game has become.

The fact alone that they call us a “madden community“ and then do shit like this when we try to help each other out is what gets m…. Especially this late in the year? Cmon man thats so wrong
