Your comments are open to various interpretations. I read them as your saying that this helps keep the playing field level. If that's not what you mean, I apologize in advance. Presuming that's the argument, I vehemently disagree, though.
As a workaholic, I use video games as a stress reliever. I don't have time to monitor the auction house all the time to snipe or take advantage of programming errors. I haven't capitalized on any of them this year. When I buy packs, I'm often amused by how *terrible* they are in value. The currency thing they did in November for a 94 Vick didn't even make sense. It was a complete waste of money.
Trading with others adds an element of strategy and intrigue to the game. It's fun for me. Buying packs or sniping auctions doesn't do that. If anything, I find it frustrating. I tried it once in Madden 22 and have never done so again.
The closing of the trade section ruins this game for casual players like me. I mean COMPLETELY ruins.
