A while ago I did the set for Mahomes and I mostly did it for the almost free 97s but none the less, Mahomes has been a great addition to the team. He has pretty good stats but his abilities are pretty underwhelming and in a game where you need abilities to be good, Mahomes isn't that great. He's only going for around 500k right now. Should I sell him and invest in a better QB?

I would say so. If you aren't satisfied with him then sell him and save up for a better QB.
I've personally loved Tim Tebow. He's basically a left-handed Derrick Henry QB.

i Loved tebow but Herbert works too if u want a good righty QB, but you need a GC upgrade token otherwise he’s not viable

I'd say eff all this change nonsense and just play with who you want and like. This game is too ass to put too much thought effort or resource into it, especially here in May
I still play with lower overall cards with straight assbutt abilities but I like them so I don't care
