It’s not claimed to be random. They try to give matchups that’ll lead to a 50% win rate in every game mode.

lol I started MUT champs late and still play dudes that are 20 games in on my first few games.

How do you know they’re 20 games in?

Also, what does it have to do with starting MUT champs late? I’m talking about each week the first 5-10 games seem pretty easy and then the more games you keep winning the matchups seem to get harder.
