Favorite play on offense and defense?

Offense- shot seams (I don’t abuse it)

defense- cover 3 cloud in nickel over

Gun Normal Y Off Close: Double Slant

Defense: Tampa 2

Offense-Y-Cross Play Action

Defense-Cover 2 Man

I user the middle of the field with Ryan Neal. If I play right, they'll think it's open an Neal's acrobat ability does the rest.

Just to forewarn you, Tampa 2 is unreliable against corner routes, so if you play someone who spams corner routes then you'll have to switch to something like Cover 3. You just have to learn the technique to lurk someone who uses PA Shot Seams. Your main assignment will anyone who is on a post or crossing route.

Also —- another idea is putting one of the two linebackers to a Middle Third zone and backing them up a little pre-snap. Makes a fringe cover 3 with underneath zones (There’s some plays that have this already but I find my version more effective)

I’ve heard that if you remove the Mid-read in a cover 2, the vert hooks will match to corner routes

Yea I’ve tried this. Generally works well
