Madden refreshes yearly. Some games are more or less games that you buy once and play forever, and so I’m curious (I mostly just play madden with a bit of over watch and then some single player games); people who play those games, does the meta get more and more pervasive and niche or do the devs stay ahead of those games to try and prevent any one strategy from becoming mandatory to win?

Same, battlefront is a close second to madden for me. I wish ea hadnt stopped updating, mando and bad batch skins would be OP

A grogu/mando team in hero showdown would be insane..... You could bring them in warm..... or you could bring them in cold

I feel like a lot of those games definitely have a meta, but often times it’s not necessary to use to win, (I’m looking at you, Gungnir). For example, Terraria has better weapons and a meta, but op weapons will get nerfed and the bad ones get buffed to make playing with almost any weapon plausible. (Asides from the shortswords)

I like Portal, its a very easy game and you do not have to grind it at all in any way to get good. I also recommend Overwatch 2 (I likeReaper) and World of Warcraft is also fun with the new patch released about week or so ago!
