Are AP value changes needed for certain players?

Overall the AP rework has been a really good move by EA in my opinion. However, cards released before the AP rework that are useable in the current state of the game (specifically QBs) are still usable but not great as their ability buckets can't keep up with new QBs being released making an offence outmatched when one is using a TOTY/SR QB as opposed to a newer UL/BB QB.

Obviously not saying that all cards need a rework just older QBs as they usually stack 3 abilities as opposed to a receiver who would only have 1 or 2.

I think so. Currently there are some older players who can't use a specific ability because that one ability costs more than the AP cap

Yeah just make those 6 AP. still unusable but usable while being unusable

EA wants you to upgrade players so that you're buying packs, which a lot of times means spending $$$.

It definitely would be nice of EA to do so. But I don't see it happening for a few reasons.

 First  and the primary reason EA won't do this is EA wants you to upgrade from those older team of the year cards. They have an interest in keeping those old cards bad so people want new cards. 

Second, depending on how many cards EA changes the abilities on it's a lot of work for almost no benefit to EA. The only thing EA would get out of this is maybe some goodwill from the community, since the cards people are opening packs for aren't the ones that are going to be impacted by this.

The third and final reason is I think there's a slippery slope of how many cards do you change the ap on before you say no it's fine this card has outdated ability buckets. It's definitely easier for EA to say we're keeping the ap cost on old cards the same rather than make an arbitrary cutoff of what old cards should be usable.

Again it would be great to see it happen but I don't think it will. And personally I would rather EA make sure the current content they're releasing works and is of high-quality rather than mess around with old cards. Considering the last two Thursday content days have had issues.
