Question about WR Abilities

My current crop of WRs on my Packers TT are:

 -  WR1: Romeo Doubs (0 AP Short Out Elite)

 -  WR2: Calvin (0 AP Deep Out Elite)

 -  WR3: Greg Jennings (0 AP Route Tech)

 -  WR4: Andre Rison (0 AP Short In Elite)

 -  WR5: Donald Driver (no abilities)

On Thursday (like most of you), I'll be picking up Demaryius Thomas who can get 0 AP Deep Out Elite, Short In Elite, Short Out Elite, or Route Tech.  One of the guys above goes to the binder... which one?  And what ability would you put on Thomas?  Calvin, Jennings, and Driver all contribute +2 Packers chems and yeah I'm right at 50/50... so I think they're all staying.  Doubs gives me the TT Remix chem... so it looks like Rison is the odd man out.  

The question then comes down to what 0 AP ability to put on Thomas.  Is Route Tech better than Short In Elite or vice versa?  Or are they just situationally different?   What situations is Route Tech better versus Short In?

How will you be getting him tomorrow? Im still 30000+ xp away to get him in the field pass.

I said Thursday which is when Part 3 of the promo gets released.  I'm 20,400 xp away.  There will be xp from solo challenge stars, some more stats... and probably some more from House Rules and Solo Battles.  Unless I have to wait for a few dailies, I will bang everything out right after Part 3 drops.

I see.. they need to add more ways of getting xp for that field pass. I completed almost everything and im still pretty far away and dailies only add so much with it expiring in a couple weeks
