To be better at madden means to get worse at life though.
I play because I’m here to play the actual football game…opening packs isn’t a video game to me. I die laughing when all these people cry about packs and don’t have one comment to make about the actual game.
ncaa 24 releasing supposedly around the same time... that alone will result in a smaller playerbase for MUT next year

the AP change was to balance gameplay imo. if they wanted cash they would have left it the same imo. GT prices would be higher if we had 12 AP to use.
I don’t believe that to be the case because there were already cards with 2 0 ap abilities and they were just a luxury. Now they’re a necessity. That along with the TVP price change before the timer ran out… du the 1st GT drop as well. I realized exactly what they’re doing. Now if they add more GT tokens which i’ll be surprised if they don’t. Offense will get all of their previous abilities back when Defense will be stuck with 1 KO, PA and acro. Sure it might’ve taken some KOs off the field.. which does help gameplay in some aspe (even though people found ways around it) but that was not their goal. Pack prices, TVP. And the AP update are all connected measures to entice people to spend packs in may/June. Another thing is they’ve been dropping tons of special offers. Coincidence? I think not.

Its about being able to maintain some value while trying to pull for new cards. If they take the value out of packs they eliminate the value of Non meta (best) cards. Meaning even if you’re just playing the game and trying to upgrade your team it becomes impossible because you have to pull 10 99s to afford a new GT. It’s just not a good structure for the game this late in the year. Personally ive made most of my from h2h superbowls so i have an idea of where you’re coming from.

You don’t even want to acknowledge the obvious problems with the mode? If you still want to play that’s fine but this mode isn’t going down the best path. Ik it’s addictive but dang bro 😂
von11 said:I'm still playing and will be an early release participant when the new one comes out. Why? I think the game is fun. I do not tie my enjoyment to wins or losses...so folks running META or "glitching" things don't impact me...I just enjoy building the team and playing online with folks from all around the world. As for my team...I have a high 98 (most of my backups are 99) and about 15m coins...I have not bought a single pack since Christmas (spent about $250 on packs prior to that). I don't rip coin or training packs...so my coin stack stays fairly safe. Hope the new game brings us some updates...but if it don't...I'm still gonna have fun with it.
You know that’s a good point I always enjoy early madden i just don’t know if i can forgive and forget about EA adjusting the game to make up for their mistakes and draining the coins of almost every player who wanted a chance at GTs with coins.

OP you need to forgive yrself for ripping the TVP and losing all your coins. We all know what EA is up to they are a pulicly traded company that is all about generating profit.
if you lost all yr coins ripping the TVP that is on you. no one else is to blame.
you should stay away from any forms of gambling if you can't exercise self-control.

No I decided to use all of my coins to see if i could pull a GT because i was bored with the game. I could still play if i chose to but it’s just not for me anymore. My point was because of all of these obvious changes in the game from a market standpoint along with the AP change being purely for pack sales has upset me as a customer. I know they’ve always been money hungry but when they choose to make all these quick changes for their benefit but can’t patch a simple money play in 9-10 months then idk if I’m confident in buying the product anymore.
I had fun this year but this has put a bad taste in my mouth and has put doubts in my head on buying 24.
Leegitness1 said:Hi guys this is my first forum post on Mutgg so cut me some slack if it’s all over the place.
Personally I checked out of MUT 23 when EA dropped the 6ap update and raised TVP price before the timer ran down. Well thats not completely true i played 1 game post patch and ripped 3 mill in packs. But with the state of the market And horrible pack odds I was priced out of the game when i’ve had the best team in the game since September. I had 6 Million before the AP Update and TVP change and 2 Million training. I lost all of it and only pulled 3 of the lowest value GTs. Almost all of my coins came from H2H or the Egg Glitch day.
There is absolutely no way to make coins. Non GTs are taking 12-24 hours to sell and sometimes they don’t sell at all. Paying $ for special bundles is the only way.
So are you guys spending the money? Do you have coins left over because of the glitches? Do you have a drive to get on anymore? Why are you still playing? I would like any if not all of these questions answered.
I also want to know if this change by EA this has put doubts into anyone’s head in the MUT or Mutgg community on Madden 24. There will be a poll below.
Will you guys buy the game day 1?? Personally I have been a day 1 buyer since Madden 25. I have out a lot of time into playing Madden ultimate team and have become a great player in my own right (im not MCS) i just had a very good record this year and im feeling good about my Madden skills after this year. I know EA has always been a money hungry company... But this year there were too many obvious ploys by EA to drain coins from the community (due to EAs screw ups). They changed the AP scale right before GTs so that they would automatically be the best cards in the game. This along with the TVP price killed the rest of the market. You could pull a 99 out of the pro endgame elite pack and still lose coins because of how much they raised pack prices. Madden has always been fun for me but this year they drained all of the fun out of the game along with the coins for a couple more $ on their pack sales.
Also anyone who says the AP change was for gameplay is just blind. If that was the case they would have made the change before the Final MCS tourn. But let me know your thoughts and opinions pls!
i spent way to much money not to play until the last day of the game
It's a football video game to me. That is literally all it is. I have been playing Madden ever since the first one, when there was only a PC version, however, this is the first time I ever played MUT. I never took the time to understand what MUT was, or how to play. I have enjoyed myself a ton playing MUT this year, and don't have anything from previous years to compare it to. Electronic Arts has always been a greedy company that didn't give a damn about it's players. As I said, I was a Franchise-only player and we typically got ZERO updates or upgrades, just new graphics and an updated roster from year to year. They are the only company making a football video game, so I will buy it at release in August.
I like how everyone is talking about NCAA 24 being the savior. It is being made by the SAME company. Why do any of you think it will be better??

yep NCAA 24 is going to be even more insidious in its micro transaction psychology to get you to fork over the cash.
i will definitely be buying it however just plan on not spending any other $$ on it and being aware of the FOMO so i don't get manipulated.
i am going to take next game cycle off for MUT. too much copy/paste from previous years.
Haven’t played since the trade block removal. Won’t buy 24. Cancelled my EA Play account. EA lost probably a good $750-$1000, if not more from me next year between EA Play, Initial game purchase and the packs my son and I would buy on our accounts with their blatant rip off tactics and constant changes to make the game less enjoyable. Neither of us plan on playing again. Way to go EA.

im playing online dynasty with my old school friends so i dont have to worry about EAs greed....i love how ppl just assume us ncaa fans are going to spend money and play ultimate team....some ppl have self control
