Depends if fan appreciation packs are good then the market for almost everything will probably go lower. If the packs suck the only cards that might be affected are the GTs since EA is probably giving people a free GT as a part of this program. But we don't know yet what the free GT will look like if it happens this year. So it's difficult to say for sure what will happen. If they do something like last year where the GTs are exclusive to the program other GTs may hold some value.
It's probably safe to keep the theme team remix players they don't sell for very much now so if the market crashes you won't be losing significant value. In fact, you might lose coins selling Theme Team Remix players when you consider you'll have to upgrade them again if you buy them back and probably have to buy some of the quicksell players to get the necessary theme team currency since you don't get it all back when you downgrade.
Personally, I'm against selling your team because it's a level of risk I'm uncomfortable with. If you expect a significant crash, I would sell everyone auctionable besides the theme team remix players.
I wouldn't prep for fan appreciation at all. IF EA is giving us something for free, and that's a big IF, you can almost guarantee it will be trash. Keep your squad if you're happy w it. My $.02...
Honestly the market is already so low, it's difficult to get any kind of return. Normally FAP's crash the market but we're basically already there. I'm not selling anything - in fact, I'm looking to buy on Thursday and through the weekend. I'm hoping to snag some draft guys and maybe sugar rush for super cheap, just in case they're needed for RP sets.
