Purples and blues in cover three say flat… does this mean mid zone ko doesn’t cover this? do i need flat zone ko instead?
My understanding of the zone KOs is they are based on the location of defender rather than the type of zone. I believe they are named because those type of zones frequently have the defender in those areas of the field when you use default settings.
Mid zone ko is supposed to activate from 0-20 yards from the LOS between the numbers and 10-20 yards from the LOS outside the numbers.
Flat zone ko is supposed to activate 0-10 from the LOS and outside the numbers.
The right KO is going to depend on the depth you play your zones at and what throws you want some extra help on.

This is 100% correct.
I run mid zone along with deep out zone on my safeties so they can KO corner routes under 20 yards where deep out doesn’t activate and and seam streaks and posts past 10 yards.
super valuable ability for the way I play.
my two outside corners have all the KOs now (except deep in because it doesn’t work) but before I was running mid zone and deep zone on them as well again so my opponent couldn’t throw routes over 10 yards.
Slot cb I always run deep out and flat zone on.
