How to stop Gun Monster

I've faced a dude twice this past week who ran Gun Monster all game. I'm not going to say the gamertag since that's not allowed on this site, but be careful if you face a dude on Xbox who wears Spongebob unis in Ravens stadium. 

How do I stop this? Dude wasn't even running the ball, just throwing the RPO option every time. My DB's (which consist of some of the largest, best run-stopping DBs) were pancaked every time without fail. I tried putting Hard Flats and the Press adjustment on either side, but the CB would overshoot the throw even when they should have tackled for loss or intercepted it.

I swear I played the same exact guy last night. Gus the Bus with the most run heavy offense I’ve ever seen, run every play, and his defense was a super glitchy cover 4 that sent 6 rushers but also had like 8 people in coverage.

I couldn’t stop him at all, I ran goal line defense, field goal blocks, defensive keys (with film study active), and he just would run completely untouched every time.

Probably the same guy. I swear the last time I played him he ran a tandem of Gus and Flash. He added Faalele to the mix this time, but didn't run at all and just threw the RPO to Chris Johnson.

Stack one side of the monster with 3/4 guys, user the other side and hope he doesn’t get a good run. The problem with this is that every formation sets up differently against monster, so you’re gonna have to try random formations. If you have 3 guys on the left, 3 rushers in the middle, and 2 guys on the right side, user the right side and try to get a pick.

Let me ask you this. I hate those type of games, but on the flip side sounds like you have a God level secondary, I'd bet you get tons of interceptions. Some folks are too lazy to learn effective pass plays, while others just have plays that can't be stopped. It sucks but that's madden

If I match up against a Gun Monster spammer, especially this late in the year, I just concede and quit out. Not worth all that man.

Just saying I do wear SpongeBob unis is the ravens stadium but it’s not me because I haven‘t even played in like a week

you can do another one to stop it too

almost any 4-3 defense scheme that blitzes and is in man

you dont even have to base align, just pinch LBs and drop edge rushers into a flat

I usefully play IC3 against it first and then adjust by manning up slot and safeties depending on their tendency. If they audible to the stack formation, just re-blitz ends and with the IC3 the shell should play it pretty strongly

I could say his gamertag cuz I have played him a few times too but it’s really easy to stop. call cover 3 seam, blitz all lbs, hard flat DEs. DO NOT BASE ALIGN.

Once you show you can stop the run portion of the RPO they will start audibling to Gun stack where they try to hit the C route on the vertical stem. So predictable what these guys who use this strategy are trying to do .

This is what I was gonna say. I prefer ss blitz 2 as it’s a bit more versatile but manning up the safety on the rpo is key. zan has a video on this he just put it out like two days ago
