Rate this years MUT. It was a great year,one of the best.

I would give it a solid 8 out of 10 and I'm on old gen. I'll be on new gen soon and in time for Madden 24 thankfully. My only gripes were the FG block glitch being left in for old gen and all of the mistakes EA made during the first few months. It seemed like every week there was something messed up with the field passes or some screw up but they eventually figured it out. I love how they did abilities ,X-Factors and passive X-Factors this year and introducing the AKA promo. They also had some of the best free cards in mut history with Adams,Megatron,DT Madden,Porter Jr along with a few others. Solos were ok and had some nice rewards like a free AKA player. We also got at least 2 free UL cards with UL tokens. House rules was good and that Lester card though a grind to get is probably the best HR card ever,even though i didnt get him.  I do wish they would of had a final month long HR near the end but it was still a good year for HR.

 Alot of good promos from MF to Zero chill,BB,TT remix and Thanksgiving plus many more. Golden tickets continued to be a letdown though but that's nothing new and we got what was in my opinion the best RP promo ever. The field passes were good even though the competitive field passes needed an overhaul big time. I personally loved this mut year and think it was one of the best and I can't wait for the start of a new Mut year on new gen xbox without the damn FG block glitch which I fully expect them to keep for old gen madden 24. Solid 8 out of 10 even with all the problems the game had to start the year with.

I'll give it a 4. It gets points because it is a football game and I play it. I love football and it's all there is.

MUT this year was mostly dull and unimaginative IMO. Just promo after promo of grinding repetitive challenges for cards that were obsolete 6 weeks later. The lack of Power-Ups made team building less fun for me and a lot of the player releases made little sense. A Raiders TT still has no MLB's that actually play or played for the team (except an OOP Davonte Adams FFS) but we get a 98 and 99 Tyree Wilson for example. The whole AP thing was crazy. Suddenly dropping to 6 to force players to buy new cards was really bad and a lot of the abilities are overpowered. I quite liked the Field Pass idea but the rewards got old real fast. 

Gameplay was bad. OL blocking, defenders taking stupid angles, catch knockouts, height and weight physics, meta plays etc etc just should not be in a game that's on its 41st edition and on a 5th Gen console. On PS4 the player models looked awful and you still get stuff happen that can't be done in real life like a right-handed QB sprinting left and throwing 40 yards across the field. Players still make INTs when they have not once even looked for the ball. I could go on.

On top of that, there was no end of glitches, patch issues, problems with rewards, challenges not logging, server issues and whole Franchises had to start again when a server problem deleted all progress. Players can STILL win H2H games by pausing the game and exiting. This is the 41st or 42nd Madden???

So yeah. 4 out of 10 and I'm being generous.

I'd say 6/10

Positives

• I loved seeing them get more creative with card art for AKAs hope that continues 
• I like the idea of a comp pass player. I like having something more to grind for than just H2H glory
• Aside from Legends, power ups were non existent
• Totw collectibles for Toty weren't time locked
• I loved the concept of TTR even if my team didn't necessarily get the best player selection

Negatives

• The glitches that left people unable to play the game or objectives weren't tracking correctly. While I don't think the egg or tvp glitches are negatives. I do think the friction they caused in the community was.
• Comp field pass rewards. Just feels lackluster compared to solo battle and weekend league rewards. Often times the comp player wasn't good enough to excuse the difference 
• The strength/necessity of abilities. It doesn't feel good that my players need abilities to be effective. Additionally, some abilities like the KOs and secure protector seem like they do a bit too much for my taste
• Personally, I would much rather see EA give cards/upgrade to more players than all these players than can equip team chems for teams they haven't played for.

Content: 9.5/10

Gameplay: 8/10 (would be 10/10 if there weren't so many problems with blocking logic, glitch plays, and of course the overpowered abilities)

Graphics: 10/10

Card Art: 9/10 (some promos it was incredible, other promos it was just blah)

Agreed.

Best parts were Content we got a lot of content and card art was really good overall.

Servers were and still are horrible with loading up the binder are building your team takes way to long and the auction house I had to restart after making just a few purchases it would bog down. 

LG unsure what the deal is but would literally run back away from his block and get in the way and allow sacks no matter who played that position it was the same issue. But are other issues with offense and defense that really need worked on. 

Too many mistakes EA did and people took advantage of them and I don't blame them for it either as I would have done the same. 

Not to mention comp pass or field pass points not registering and then waiting almost half a year for your make rights is completely inexcusable. 

Comp pass rewards should be way better especially for those who do play H2H  and finish it to the end should be rewarded with a higher overall card or card packs and a high value coin reward or something. 93 overall at this time of the year is just a slap in the face. H2H can be fun but time consuming and frustrating. I  personally do solo battles and stay in my safe zone. Lol

So many issues that really need to be resolved and hopefully in madden 24 they at least do better. 

Content and Card art is a 10 out of 10 I'll  give credit where credit is due.

But for everything else in the game it for me is a 3 out of 10

8.5, lost me in the end of the year but everything was still fun. Maybe make next year less grindy or give better rewards

-Lots of fun teams to build, especially at the end but there was a TON of overlap
-Tons of programs but they were mostly the same thing over and over which was tiresome
-Really easy to build NMS teams
-No power ups sucked

You're spot on regarding the impact of taking away the Power Ups, especially for us Theme Teamers.  So I'm a Packers TT guy, and a NMS player (who benefits from EA Play Pro points though).  For example, I worked hard to get Rodgers' Core Elite card at launch, and same with Jaire.  The minute they got higher level program cards, their Core Elites were essentially useless.  In the PU world, they kept their value as steps along the PU path.  

Look, I'm haven't forgotten how the PUs were a coin sink in many cases, but they created a team building experience that was richer than the one we experienced in M23.  Look how activated the community got with the Theme Team Remix concept late in the season - that should be done earlier in the year, and maybe even mixed with the Team Affinity concept.

The game was unplayable for months, nothing worked as intended. The community went on "Pack Strike" which was a joke n in return Ea took away all earned packs for playing seasons, a big 🖕 from Ea on that one. When they finally gave us rewards back, months later I might add, to some already retired for the year they still couldn't even get the rewards right.

Ea's biggest efforts are always gonna be from launch to Christmas so the majority of the rating should account for that time frame which unfortunately had the most problems. Its laughable how some can rate this game 8s n 9s gotta raise their standards. It did eventually get "better" by better I mean things started to work as intended but who cares after the SB when the player base dwindles next to nothing we know Ea doesn't. 

The game was fun to play at launch but with everything broken n Ea deliberately taking away rewards for months there was no incentive or any reason to play. 

We shouldn't be Ea game testers paying full price for a game. Bring back rewards n top 100. I like the idea of the comp pass but it was pretty much an xp grind all year. 👎 Do Better!
