More often then not I would stop my grind at level 21.
Think so the cards were really good but they're releasing them way to late into the year so no one is grinding for them

I agree these last few have been good. Hopefully, they keep rhis quality in 24
As a whole I think it was solid. Could have been better sure but I used most of those cards, it helps you not spend coins. I’d like them to improve it next year if they keep it. Maybe give us a choose of 2 players or something, 1 on offense and 1 on defense. I’d like them to be actionable but EAs greed lately has been crazy

I like that idea. Having a choice between 2 players would mean EA can make cards that appeal to more players if nothing else
The players were halfway decent but the other rewards sucked
Didn't read all the comments but just feel its fair to say that I actually really liked the comp pass for the vast majority of the year.
I think its very very fair in terms of the tier 22 grind. If you simply win 10 mutchamps games a week it is pretty much signed and delivered.
I feel like you shooouuuld have to grind hard if you're not gonna "compete".
Sure the player wasn't always the best, but for majority of the player base that doesnt spend crazy money it works really well to either fill a hole or supplement a position group.
Idk just my two cents. Oh the final reward should be better for sure tho. But i only ever reached it once 😅
personally just wish like the mid tier awards were better and just upped the rewards later in the year in general because less and less people have a reason to play it so give better rewards.

Yeah but keep the quality through the whole year not just the final month

Bruh don't you only get the player at 22
Breakluna said:I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on comp pass players. Do you think they were worth the grind? Should they return in 24? What changes would you make if they return?
In general, I'd say most of the comp pass players were good starters at their position when they released. But comp pass players were rarely the best at their position. In my opinion, they were worth the grind if you wanted a solid option at that position but didn't want to spend any coins. But they weren't worth it if you already had someone at that position. Towards the end they got better. Personally, I thought the trio of JPJ, Cann, and Kupp were some of the best items we got all year from the comp pass.
I would love to see them make a return in some way in 24.
Should they return, I would love to see them be made auctionable. Players who don't need the comp pass player would have more incentiv to grind if you could sell the reward. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about not being able to complete the pass and missing out on the player if you could buy them.
EA was inconsistent and difficult to predict when they would rerelease comp pass items. The last comp pass items from this year are likely never going to be rereleased. Should they return, I would like to see previous comp pass player be rereleased as redux items. If not redux items, perhaps every 4 comp passes or so one of the lower tier rewards is fantasy pack of all previous comp pass items. They did that occasionally this year but I would like to have predictable schedule so you know when they would be available again if you missed them.
I know it probably won't happen because it's difficult for EA to make money from it but I would like the overall quality of comp pass players to improve. Personally, I think the comp pass should reward some of the best players in the game. It's a bummer when the new comp pass gets announced and it's a player who won't make your team
I believe if you want to make the comp pass fun for everyone you give them every team chem and 2x for the teams they actually play for and then you take out legend themes

This is a good point. Getting all 32 team chems would definitely make them desirable.
Though admittedly I wouldn't want this to happen. It's purely because I'm not a fan of players getting team chems of teams they never played for. But that's my personal feelings. Objectively, this would be good for improving the quality of the reward.
Agree the rewards you would think have to be better.. as soon as I got to 200 I always stopped grinding as much, really wasn't worth it after that point. Having maybe 50k cp points at 250 and far better reward at 300, like maybe a little better player you get at 200 instead of a 92+ legend and later a 93+ UL .. or better coin QS's.. something

I'm not a huge fan either but only give it to the comp players and team diamonds champion only
Most were completely useless but some were decent upon the time of release like nate Davis and Equinimineous St brown but it was a very meh promo for the most part, only one I looked at and was like wow I need that was Joey porter who’s my cb1 on my endgame team
