Theme Teamers - Will you make your team worse in 24?

For the last 4 years I’m a Buffalo Bills theme teamer from launch.  Love chasing down all the golds and elites you need to barely push yourself over to 50/50 theme.

But this year between 32 RPs, RP Master, and preorder bonuses I would be taking a significant step BACKWARDS if I actually tried building a theme team at launch.  Trying to hunt down 79s and 81s to replace 84s across the board.

Question is will you still be rolling with a theme team or waiting it out?  I’ve also considered just quick selling like 25 of the RPs and trying to build up training for my actual team even if it’s a step behind.

Yeah, still going do it. This rookie thing for madden 24 is incredibly stupid.

EA trying to keep peole playing and stop giveaways I assume.

You can still put in all your backups. Theres 13 O backups, 13 D backups. P/K. Thats 28 out of 40 or 50 right there. 

Plus you have any 84+ starters for your team AND the 3 RP tokens to move them to your team. So right there, just assume you get 3+ players that are 84+ and your 3 RP tokens. Thats 34 there. Still a REALLY good start to TT. Plus Hutchinson who I forgot about so 35+ just to start.

I'm leaning towards building a theme team in 24. I don't think having all 32 RPs will change my decision. It might push back how soon I start building the TT. But I doubt 84 RPs will be relevant for more than a month or two if that.

Gonna just build around NAT cards and save coin for Most Feared and Thanksgiving

Unless they have something like TT Remix early on... Theme Teams just can't compete with Legends squads if you are into H2H.  It's smart of EA to make everyone swap out their teams periodically throughout the year because the majority of MUT players want to field the best team possible (or that they can afford).

Is Hutchinson 32 team chem ?

I want a Hawks TT but will start with 4 Jets so might make a Jets TT

Still plenty to go at with TT for me as been running patriots for few years. 

With the Chem cards on RP & back ups plenty to get you 20+ in the early stages.

I’m gonna build mine slowly. I’m nervous about starting on old gen and moving over tho, kinda sounds like the separate economies might mean the auction house app wont work and it also sounds like I might not get my team if I upgrade

I always start building a TT on launch day, but use a separate lineup for online games. Eventually when the TT becomes more viable I’ll make the switch. Usually I’ll do it 2-3 months into the game.

Yep. This is the way I'd do it. I usually build a theme team and then have a separate team revolved around NATs

For me in this up coming new mut year I am just going to run the 2023-2024 Colts TT and spend less time in game compared to what I did this mut year which was me completing everything from season passes, comp passes, and challenge to 100% which was time consuming. 

I'll do challenging but the solo battles if they have changed as a monthly type of event for less rewards then I won't even bother clicking on them even to refresh. 

Just going to play for fun and skip the must have the best team overall this year.
