Yeah hopefully. I'm in Australia, hope it doesn't matter but at least in the past it has been playable here.

I have noticed it seems to help a lot to just reboot the game before a h2h match. Some have also apparently reported that starting a new MUT squad somehow helps. I'll try that later. If you get lag, definitely reboot the app. I get slow menus no matter what, like probably everyone does.

yes i have sloww menu will try reboots
I know this doesn't help you any - but I run it on PC fine. No FPS cap on, no special settings. It just runs. So... its not the same across all PC's. H2H, Solo Battles etc - zero issues.

unfortunately, that will not help the slow menu. but if you have lag in game, then try the reboot.

nah that's legit. thank you. I am glad to hear it runs well and that at least gives me hope. now that being said, I've tried full MUT squad games and oddly, it runs pretty well. so...I don't think it's anything on my end at all. but what's your specs, if you don't mind my asking?

Don't mind at all but everything about my setup is admittedly overkill...
To top it off I also have a 5GB synchronous fiber connection and 10GB ethernet controller using one of my PCIe slots.
So yeah, its a good gaming experience. Oh and also the Samsung Odyssey Ark as my "monitor" :)

Haha that's a pretty sweet setup. I have similar stuff but a 10900K and...1080. I upgraded everything but the GPU while I was able to, then by the time GPUs actually existed again I had too much on my plate to be gaming. Now I'm just kinda budgeting and saving up because times got a little tougher in that department. But I digress. That internet speed of yours is pretty hot. I would imagine if anything that's what it is but who knows. I'm still not fully convinced it's on my end or it's because I don't have drool worthy hardware like yours, but if that's what it is, I think one could certainly argue EAids just need to optimize better.

That 10900k CPU still blazes! It's a beast! Definitely time to look at the GPU (priorities I know!), the 10xx series GTX are starting to show their age a little.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the problem. EA does NOT optimize these games well for PC whatsoever. Is the game taxing your card? Dumb question, but has turning the graphics down helped performance any?
At least the cards aren't impossible to get anymore like when the 3090's first came out! That was a nightmare. Ended up skipping that cycle, and then when the 40XX series came out, I just built a new rig from the ground up around it. (Overkill as I admitted - but I game a lot and enjoy seeing the difference in builds every 3/4 years).

Yes I definitely do want to upgrade the GPU at some point, but it's not a good time. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it makes a difference. I've tried capping the FPS at each setting or using auto, turned down the qualities on the settings you'd expect to low, and haven't noticed a major difference either way in terms of performance. But the fact this issue only happens in online play makes me think it' s not likely a GPU issue. It's still not impossible it's an issue with the GPU though, as it is aging poorly like you said. And yeah it's a tough spot because the 40xx series is out now and it's so expensive. I was hoping the 30xx series would drop in price more than it did or I'd have upgraded by now. 4070ti is a solid middle ground though. I might do that.
Edit - I think I mentioned this before, but MUT squads actually runs pretty legit for me, which is pretty strange considering it's with up to 5 other people. It still has issues like you would expect and the network related disconnections run RAMPANT in that mode. But outside of those intermittent spikes and/or disconnections, it actually performs well in squads. Really weird.
I tried capping my FPS at 30 last night and it seems to fix it, no more lag online and offline is faster too. Super weird though as when capped at 60fps the rate would only really drop during cut scenes but the play would still slow down. 30fps looks terrible though.
