So im still trying to make up my mind on what theme team to make, but a general question cuz i been getting mixed answers..... Does having a 50/50 theme team at this point of the game ( very beginning ) give a competitive edge in online head to head? Or does it not really matter or make a difference this early on in the game?

It usually doesn’t matter much early game and only matters when more and more high rated cards come out. I’m sure there’s a couple decent tier 5 TTs you can build but that’s probably about it and I’m not sure which teams/players that would be

I would give an 80 ovr theme team a slight edge over an 80 ovr team with theme team boosts. So I do think they can have a competitive edge. They definitely can make a difference early on especially if you have access to players who once they get boosts are faster than the fastest card in the game. That said it might be a little early for them. You may have to play some cards who are still bad even with the boosts right now. That may be the case most of the year with theme teams but especially now with ratings so low it can be a disadvantage at certain positions.
