i never complain about this but there does need to be way more content
Definitely feels like they’re moving away from the players that mainly play offline
The games only been out for about a week so were just waiting for the content ball to start rolling. Once it starts I think we’ll be ok.
It might be the most pathetic launch of any game ever. I want you to imagine you didn't play M23. Let's say you also didn't pay more for the deluxe version and that you don't have EA Play. That means you didn't get loyalty packs or MUT points or Rookie Premiere players. You got a starter pack of players and 27 challenges on Thursday night. Two days later you got an additional 25 challenges. Two days later you've completed your House Rules field pass, but you haven't received the rewards for doing so. Your only option now is to take your 75 OVR team into full-length games against 85 OVR god squads without receiving credit, progress, and rewards on the field pass if you lose. That is abysmal for anyone that spent even just the minimum of $70.

Well said. And the worst part is, I randomly got an 84 legend and posted him on the market the day they dropped and there were over 300 instances of the same card... Plenty of people still shelling out plenty of money

cannot believe I got suckered in again.
I'm getting so sick of folks repeating the "scheme over team" bullshit tagline, to justify the disparity in these pay to win game mechanics, acting as if the cards available don't matter, heh. What a farce. Not that it matters, right now i cannot even load into any games, my Solo Battles have been booting me out over and over and over with the generic, "our servers cannot respond to your request right now." Crash to main login screen. EA no-Help said there are hundreds of thousands of players experiencing these type issues. My Rookie Premier sets that we all spent 15M+ coins on during `23 have been a huge mess. I got doubles of some cards, took 2+ days for them to trickle in over the weekend. Of course they weren't ready for Day 1 pre-release, let alone retail public release.
Perhaps they understand their player base, there's SO many degenerate gambling addicts that couldn't wait to throw ~$1000 at their roster first week. Even though `23 was my very first MUT experience and i was **definitely** part of the problem, as i pumped a bit of cash into the game, but wanted to try and see how realistic NMS might be this year. Gosh, it's not easy, i even started with Deluxe Edition (4600 Points), but was forced to spend the bulk of them on a Starter Team, because EA screwed us out of RPs. At this point i'm the asshole, expecting that EA will ever do better. Low effort cash-grab, zero competition. Our only hope is that the NFL doesn't renew or extend the exclusive license with EA. If i'm still here doing this in `24, someone please slap me silly.
I have plenty of other vices, thankfully gambling is not one of them. I just want to be able to field a competitive team and actually play without tons of game-breaking bugs and glitches over and over and over... many of which have been around for YEARS, if not a decade, or more. Nothing short of a full rewrite can save this game, but EA will never devote sufficient dev resources, as i'm not convinced it's possible in a single year.

I mean youre right to a point but you def werent forced to spend that on a starter team. People rush to fill content out and especially when there isnt complain there isnt anything to do. Ive barely touched the game yet. Content creators and whales will gladly spend money all year for vids and teams. Its teh same way in any game now.
My expectations for EA is 0 so I am never disappointed.
We're getting Headliners Part 2 this week and maybe a Wild Card? Then Legends this weekend. I agree that EA needs to release more solos, but slow-rolling content the first week isn't absolutely terrible because it allows us to play with Core Elite cards that aren't immediately obsolete.
I'd love to see a return of The Gauntlet, but that's almost never released right away anyway. And as a fairly competitive player, I REALLY miss Weekend League. I want to see real Leader Boards and rewards for competing each week. Madden lost a lot when that went away...

It would be nice if we had more ways to get the core elite cards. MLB The Show has Diamond Dynasty and i personally feel like it destroys MUT. The content, the cards, and all of the other things you can do can keep you busy for hours.
I think the best thing is to take MUT for what it is. Over the years, it has been destroyed by greed and a company that tries to suck every penny from the customers. Enjoy it and don't take it serious because EA doesn't take it serious at all.

This year there were 24.
Sucks that nothing will change. My H2H season won’t load so there is literally nothing for me to do on the game.
You might have too many people on your roster , for some reason this game doesn't let you know how many ppl are on your squad unless its counting TT's. So yesterday I finally got my 50/50 and I was trying to add more people from a different team and it let me only 4 more.
I quit last April, so I don’t have any RPs. They should have at least given us a string of 20 solos or so where you could get a free BDN RP. Normally the RP thing isn’t a huge advantage, but giving peoplle 35 cards this year is kind of ridiculous. We shoud at least be able to get a free one for our TT, or they should just leave the sets open in ‘23 to have a somewhat even playing field. The absence of basically any launch content is just embarrassing…..
Nothing this week until Thursday stream then headliners and legends AFTER 😂 yikes.
They're intentionally drip feeding content to solo players so they're funneled to the whales in H2H. This is by design. Bcs IF the whales can't curb stomp lesser teams and had to play even competition they'd stop spending money.
