Hey all, I understand the whole "just get good" bit but like at a certain point I'm not sure what else to do? Mesh and any other form of lateral route seems basically unguardable even if I put my 85 corners on shade inside they still get completely burnt by guys like David Njoku. Defense feels terrible this year and I'm not sure how to get better at it. Two drag routes and my team just can't keep up. Offensively it seems near impossible as well as it feels like every opponent gets instasheds blows up every run play even if they're in cover 4 the entire game. I don't know if there's just 18 adjustments every opponent is making but it feels impossible and is a huge turn off. Does anyone have tips for playing online? I want to get gud but I have genuinely no clue what to do anymore
I just run standard nickel or big nickel and have had decent success. when in doubt look for in-depth guides on YouTube.
When it comes to running, I’ve found that running the ball on RPOs seems to get better run blocking for some reason. Might be worth the try
I wish the matchmaking was a bit better online.
This year and last year I found it much tougher.
H2h is wild right now. Almost every game is a shootout and you see at least 2-3 kickoff TDs a game. One game i played, i had the guy return like 4 kickoffs for TDs on me lol. Hard to get sacks and usering on defense seems difficult. I'm sure games will tighten up once more cards are released but it's weird but enjoyable at the same time.
Focus on having fun, and then maybe you’ll enjoy it enough to learn. If I didn’t start Mut years ago, I’m not sure I would be patient enough to progress with what it‘s become these days.
46 Speed, Big Nickel, 3-3, Dollar...mixing up coverage with blitzes (man and zone) and a good user flying around. Find what works best and do whatever you can to be unpredictable out of similar looks. Make it as difficult as possible to make easy reads. Some guys are robots and will make the perfect read every time and that's when you have to match them, but most will not and playing intense defense will make them crumble.
As well, use and adjust zone drops to play your opponents tendencies and to play situational football.

46 Defense. It's "expensive" but well worth it for 46 speed imo. As well, I usually base align and press every play.

Usually shade overtop if playing man. As well, user the RB and/or middle of the field.
dude i'm 0-8 online so far , hasnt been pretty
You have to be able to sacrifice the “fun” aspect of the game to be able to win most of the games.
Fortunately you can just quit and find a new opponent an infinite number of times
Its most definitely a jungle outcha!
