They should give matchmaking bans for leaving games early then. That or remove most of the “only tracks during wins” challenges because everyone quits in the 1st quarter and it’s AIDs af
I would be shocked if this isn't changed by the second pass. It had gotten to the point where I was letting dudes score against me when I knew I could crush them just so they would stick around. Which in turn lead to more people doing that. Now I am spending the entire game wondering if I'm doing the Punking, or I'm getting Punked.
None of this is good for the long-term prospects of people playing the game. There's already enough feeling like you been hoodwinked involved with Mut to begin with without forcing players to do it to each other.

? So getting half credit for the stats you earned is a participation trophy?
No point in even turning this game on anymore. Just got matched up against the same sweat with 3 89s in his top 3 - all LTDs. Not sure how my 83 OVR team gets matched against that TWICE. This game is so ridiculous - guess what, I turned off my console when I saw the same team for the second time. Great system EA. Neither of us got anything for that other than he progressed the one 7 win objective if he had it - if you can’t play Champs, you can’t progress the Comp Pass, since they decided to make almost all of the CP come from that source. There is absolutely no reason to even attempt to play this trash until they fix rewards, they fix the only getting CP during wins and they fix matchmaking.

Matchmaking bans would be counterproductive, as they would lose a lot of their player base. Most people now quit for a couple of days and then come try again. Bans would just have people quit permamnantely and then realize how bad this game is and how many more productive things they can do with their time rather than play an insane game for hours with nothing to show for it.

A few years ago I found myself delving into the world of loot boxes & micro-transactions and ended up researching video game design. This led me to reading a book by Celia Hodent who was a Director of User Experience [UX] at Epic Games called "The Gamer's Brain: How Neuroscience & UX [User Experience] Can Impact Video Game Design".
The section that always to stood out to me about how developers react after a game goes live, was laid in a paragraph towards the back of the book:
“As soon as the game starts being experienced by players from the outside world without you watching over their shoulders, you need to begin making sense of analytics data, helped by UX insights from tests. Difficulty balancing, progression balancing, monetization, and so on, will then be the main focus, assuming that most critical UX issues discovered by user research during the previous stages are already solved. (Although that’s often not the case.)
Watching the health of your live game can be nerve-wracking. Without solid hypotheses, panic can take over and reactive decisions that could damage the user experience and revenue might be made instead of carefully analyzing where predictions went wrong.
Although being responsive is important, drawing hasty conclusions and rushing to act on them could very much cost you more time in the end (and potentially more money) than carefully considering all the factors at play. Remember that identifying the right problems that need solving is what counts.”
It really is going to come down to what EA's internal analytics are showing around player engagement.
might be the dumbest decision the madden team has ever made and that’s really saying something.
I won’t touch champs unless this is changed. Which is sad because it was by far my fav mode in past years

Wrong. We should get a 100 percent

So much this
lIke what the heck is he talking about with the win loss scoring being lazy?!

Nah of course not. But how about they issue our stats we earned? is the thought of us getting our earned stats really that outrageous to you? Weird

A lot of people that play Madden have like, a weird inferiority complex and they use Madden to boost their self-esteem. It's very strange

Yep It’s pretty sad and pathetic to see
I agree... the implementation of this stat tracking is SO BAD and I think I'm pretty good. Last week I was 18-2 in Champs (aka WL) before I had finished all my objectives. And I literally had to let inferior opponents stay in the game by turning the ball over with silly laterals... just so I could compile stats (especially the points in the 4th quarter). I would have liked to have played my last five games but there was zero incentive to do so and I ended up moving on to Seasons.
This week... I've had two "wins" where my opponent quit after seeing my Top 3 cards. One quit after a hitstick fumble on their opening kickoff... and two others quit after I stopped them on their first drive. That's FIVE games in my first ten where I don't make any progress on the pass.
They have to incentivize people for staying in games. I like the idea of giving 50% credit on stats when they lose. And while you're at it EA... incentivize me to play all the games... give some exp for 10, 15, 20, and 25 wins. But they won't do any of this because the developers don't even play their own game... so they don't actually know how bad things are.

True, you can tell who they are when they beat you in a close 38-35 game or something and then they message you saying you’re trash or something instead of a GG lol. Lot of madden players are no life’s that don’t do much else in life but spend 6-8 hours playing the game or at work…work and game, no GF no friends no other coo stuff to do on free time.
