How do you stop this annoying play outside of 3-4 formations? I’m using the Chiefs playbook and they don’t have the coveted Cover 4 Drop 2 play that people use to stop RPOs in general. Not sure if it would even work with this one, but what formation/adjustments help you bag this play?

some dude i played yesterday would only run this. it wasn't even mut champs. have some fun with the game at least lol.

Same and I won mostly because of my clock management. Only gave him time to get a field goal late at half and left him barely anytime at the end of game so running wasn’t an option. I also bagged him and got a pick within the 5 once buts that‘s because the play isn’t nearly that effective near the goal line since the deep routes can’t get deep.
Other than that I couldn’t stop it to save my life lol

Here is a video showing how to stop it out of 43 Even 61... but he tells you the key elements of how to do it out of your own defensive formation.

I run cover 3 hard flat, user the outside corner with outside third deep zone assignment, cover both the wheel and post until the post breaks, then the middle third deep zone takes over that route, and I stay on the wheel, and the slot corner with hard flat covers the flat route. hope this helps

Thanks for posting this. I was killed by this play yesterday. He ran it 90% of the plays, and I couldn’t stop it even though I knew it was coming. I never played against it before, but now I’ll be prepared.

Zan made a Youtube video on how to stop it towards the end of Madden 23. I have rarely gone against this play, so I haven't tried this setup myself, but I have seen him use it on Twitch a few times and it worked.
