Lions 21 Chiefs 20 Reactions

What are your reactions to this game? Mine are as follows

1. Chiefs wrs are still raw

2. Chiefs offense is nothing without Kelce

3. Lions D doesnt look too bad

4. Jahmyr Gibbs looked good

Chiefs:

Mahomes did not look like himself

Minimal pressure on D

Decent run D even without Chris Jones

Bad playcalls- I think MVS and Rashee Rice should have been more included.

CEH and Toney were bad

Oline held up well

The secondary played really well

Noah Gray was not too bad for how much he plays

Overall: disappointing asl for the defending super bowl champions.. kelce cant be that big of a difference, can he? This offense did not look prepared for this game with all the misques and questionable decisions they had. 

Lions:

The rookies all look good

Oline was was not quite in sync

Oline was good pass blocking, ok run blocking

Hutch was the only one pressuring Mahomes

Goff looks like he knows what he's doing

Amon ra was unguardable

David Montgomery and CJ Gardner Johnson look like great pickups

They are missing another wideout

Overall: The lions are living up to the hype and they did a really good job winning that game on the road week 1. I think they will be great this year.

Agree with pretty much everything here, I think Josh Reynolds could be that other guy in the wr room they need.

Chiefs:

- Mahomes needs Kelce

- D-Line wasn't terrible without Chris Jones

- Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore both had rough days

- Pacheco should be getting the Clyde carries

Lions:

-Jahmyr Gibbs looks amazing

- Amon-Ra is elite

- The O-Line looked better as the game went on

-Defense was pretty solid

- Jared Goff was pretty sharp

- Kardarius Toney need to be released

- I see why everyone calls Gibbs explosive

- Goff continues to be the most underrated QB in the league

- I’m glad I drafted Sun God

- Mahomes didn’t look incredible, but his receivers didn’t help him out for the most part

Bc that’s what everybody else did😂

Honestly really like how the Lions looked in that game. Defense was aggressive, Hutch looked like a monster. Only reason he didn’t have a ridiculous amount of sacks was Mahomes’s pocket elusiveness

ur only gonna win 91 cuz everyone else put points on him. u notice there was like 6k on him

to be honest as a bears fan i was rooting for the lions because they are trying to be a good version of themselves and they did me and my dad rooted for the lions and they won i am happy they did! so that makes the statement :jared goff is undefeated to mahomes still stands to this day.

Definitely, although Trey Smith had trouble with Hutchinson as well whenever he moved in on the guard. I get being an offensive lineman is hard, but the refs need to pay closer attention to holding penalties which endanger defenders just as much as they pay attention to roughing the passer penalties.
