X Factors Not Loading

I have two players active with X Factors turned on.  When I try to activate the 3rd it tells me it would take me over the X factor limit of 3.  I’ve tried everything including removing all abilities and no luck.   Can EA just not do basic math or is something else going on?

If you had someone that’s had an xfactor on before you need to completely remove them from the lineup and readd them. The counter still counts them even though we know it’s not on
