I counted and I only have 10 golds starting on my team but it wouldnt let me join do gold backups count as well?

I think gold backups count. I would guess that's the issue. The way I understand it is you can only have 10 total gold players in your lineup. Also it's my understanding headliners obj counts as a gold even if he's upgraded if that's relevant to you.
