Last year, I played the Weekend League/MCS mode, and would generally get at least 7-10 wins. It seemed to balance people based on losses, so I generally would lose games at first, but eventually it seemed to balance the opponents where the last ~10-15 games felt good to play.
This year, it seems very different. I went 4 - 21 last week, and am currently 2 - 18.
I know I'm not a very good H2H player, but the mode seemed to do a much better job at creating fair matchups as the losses accumulated. I used could at least enjoy a few matches and get a few wins in.
I'm not sure I can complete the competitive pass without participating in the mode, but I'm not sure I can get the points I need at this point to complete the pass this season. I'm currently at 29, so I'm right at the 1/2 way point.
Would it make more sense to just spend my PvP time in H2H seasons where the games feel much more fair? Maybe just try to get the stats that don't require wins out of MCS and see how far that gets me?
