I somehow magically made it to veteran and I, not surprisingly, lost three games in a row but didn't get demoted. Am I stuck here forever? I'll never win another game in my life!!!!!

I know you can't go back to the lowest tier but I think you can go back to second lowest tier. Just quit 5 games.in a row and the system will give.u.a bot to beat

Absolutely. One time I played someone who was way gooder than me, I quit and it demoted me, and I played him again the next game (immediately after so no way he also lost a game in that short amount of time and also got demoted)

Szn’s matchmaking is based on win % I think. Probably a ton of people always actively searching for a game. but they always seem to save the sweaty boi’s for my Superbowls

I’ve had this same exact experience multiple times. The divisions only purpose are the rewards and they have nothing to do with matchmaking.

I haven’t fallen below vereran. I made it all-Star, lost and went back veteran. I lost more, stayed at veteran.

I've played leaderboard players in veteran before, there is definitely not matchmaking

I think it actually has more to do with your win loss ratio, but at the same time if theres nobody with a similar ratio at the time you are looking for a game then ya you definitely end up playing better players. If you are really struggling in this tier there are a lot of good resources to help you get better, and a lot of people on here even willing to lend a hand.
