How much better is Gunslinger vs. PLE? Help with AP.

I use PLE on Cam Newton. I have become used to using him. But I am considering switching to a Field General with Gunslinger to try it out. 

But, is Gunslinger actually better than PLE?

I always Pass Lead anyways, so would there be any differance. 

If there isnt a differance, I will likely switch to Cunningham for the 3ap PLE...I'd really be able to do damage with the extra 1 point, plus the extra 2 they just tagged on today.

Right now my AP are distrinuted as follows:

Cam - 4ap with PLE

WR - Trevon Diggs - 2 ap with Route tech and WR Apprenctice (this is a sweet card...thank you to those who told me to put some abilities on WR)

LT and RT - Edge Protector - Total cost is 3ap....Cam Jordan has it baked in (no lie...Jordan has been better than Trent Brown who plays at RT and also has Edge Prot.)

Center- Post-up - 1 ap- Warren sapp 

LG and RG- 4 AP with Post-up

I might remove Warren Sapp post up....or take them off my OG and keep it on sapp. However, I've finally had success running the ball with post up this way. But... the running plays i do use the most dont result in double teams....however, I will occasionally run some plays that call for double teams from OG and OTs....

I'm kinda unsure about taking off post ups. I may try puller elite on my OGs and leave post up on sapp....

However, my OGs are nice...but they're slow and not agile. I dont use turbo and my RB still runs into them when they pull (annoying)

But yeah....Gunslinger vs. PLE...

Gunslinger does have an advantage but personally i dont know the specifics of why one is better than the other and im sure PLE is very usable if you need the extra AP. I just know that GS>PLE. Ive never been big on O-line abilities outside of edge protector but My favorite qb setup is HRM+GS. As of today it leaves 7 ap on the table which is a lot to play with

I really like route tech. And PLE and route tech have been really good. Diggs gets open with that route tech.

I wanna get Devante Adam's next to pair him with Diggs...I just wanted to wait until the price goes down....and they usually do and also I can see CJ, Metcalf and Tyreek getting cards that push Adam's price down....

I have Justin Jefferson right now. Could sell him now and get Adam's. Jeffersons price will likely go down as well when/if CJ, Metcalf and Hill get cards .. so itll likely be a wash. 

I have lance Alworth...hes pretty good. Could throw 2 ap route tech on him now....eventually he will be 97 speed when they upgrade the captains. Issue is lance is short.

 I could switch to Youngblood....sell Danielle Hunter....and go buy Devante Adams...

As far as OLINE abilities....I've noticed it helps a ton. But...still on 3rd and shorts its tough to run the ball. And 4th and 1 as well I believe the programming has made it this way. I pass on every 3rd and 4th and short now.

EDIT: So think I will grab Chad Johnson instead of Davente. Same card pretty much for 70k less. 

Only reason I wanted devante was for raiders chems...but I'm thinking of scratching the whole theme team deal....doesnt seem worth it at the present time

the difference is with gs ball has more zip on it.  with ple balls float more with no zip whatsoever.

The ball Velocity is the same. The key difference between gunslinger and PLE/SFL is that 1. You get a sped up release and 2. You don’t have to be leading your passes for the velocity boost. That second point is massive at this stage of the year where coverage is a bit tighter and you need to throw into tighter windows. It can be especially helpful in the redzone when everything is in a tighter window. I’m personally running SFL with QuickDraw rn on manning and while it’s been great for now I might make the move back to GS as it really helps me out when I’m in the redzone. If you’re planning on making a switch, a QB that gets SFL is better cuz you don’t actually have to have your feet set to get the boost. You can just let go of the right trigger while you pass lead and it activates, which will save you 1 AP

yeah gs speeds up release

PLE is decent and all you need on slinger 1 qbs, otherwise go Gunslinger

What does SFL mean?

Set feet lead. Its like pass lead elite except it only works if your feet are set. However, if you let go of the right trigger as you throw it’ll still activate cuz the game thinks your feet are still set

I think last year the velocity was noticeably different but not this year. It seems like the only benefits of GS vs Lead abilities is the faster release and not having to lead.
