it's exhausting to work the markets with limited playtime.  I was determined to build up a bit of a coin stack to get myself started, but after just a couple/few weeks, I'm already burning out.  Started dabbling with MyTEAM in NBA2K `24.  I want MUT to be good, but online play (MUT Champs, specifically) is such a sweaty, pay-to-win mess, I'm not competent enough to get any stats in that game mode.  My Solo Battles were glitched out the first couple weeks, so i couldn't really play any of those, leaving me WAY behind in Competitive Field Pass.  Not getting those Rookie Premiers week1 was brutal, i had to waste much of my 4600 Points from Deluxe pre-order on a starter team, bleh.  Game performance (specifically menus) has improved dramatically since recent patch, but the game is still a buggy mess, as per usual.  It's to the point where the game is almost playable, but there's so many issues.  I've been tempted to drop cash on packs a few times, but it feels rather stupid at this point in the year, cards are going to be getting a HUGE boost very soon as we got from 89-90+ but i'm trying to have fun where i am able.  Once i get closer to full 49ers theme team, that typically enhances my enjoyment, but it's already a slog of a grind and we're only heading into week 2 of the NFL Season.  Not sure i'll make it over the long haul.

I‘m running a 85 OVR nms team rn no chem or anything and I promise you it’s really not that hard to beat p2w god squads. I’ve beaten peoples whos top three is 90 ovr Vick, JPJ, and Cromartie. Most of them drop a ton on money for insane cards because they suck. You don’t need money plays or insane defenses with a million adjustments, just understanding your playbook and what run plays and pass plays work, and what defensive formations are good, should be enough to win you 15-20 mut champs games a week. 

And bro if you want to stay nms then 2k is DEFINETLEY not the way to go, myTeam is 100x more p2w than mut is 😂

Not so much the last week though, I'm moving on from MUT unless there's some changes. The menu freeze. Still don't have my pre-order points, which is refund worthy. The comp pass structure needs overhaul.

Team is 84 overall, 84 offense and 85 defense.  Running a Bears theme team with 42/50.  I did all 32 rps, but quicksold all but Nolan Smith Jr., Darnell Wright, the RG, and Bijan.  I have the non bears rookies upgraded with the all 32 chem tokens from last year.  I have Bruce Smith and Hargrave as my highest non TT players.  Coin stack is just under 900K.

Mostly just playing local co-op or h2h with my kid on the weekends, seriously appreciate the guidance and pro-tip(s) here.  Although, i suffer zero delusions from being able to get online and compete with the masses.  The gameplay experience is overall just more fun for us/him.  He's already alley-ooping the ball to himself and dunking it off the backboard, so he's able to teach me the basic controls to get us started.  Had some great Kobe versus Air Jordan battles already.  This is our second year with NBA2K, got both Madden and NBA2K `23 during Black Friday sales for cheap (~half price, $35 i think), this year we paid full price to get in on the early hype, but probably our last for a while.  There's tons of rewards and so much stuff to do, actual in-game content for NBA2K -- and most importantly, the game feels incredibly polished, at least compared with Madden & MUT.  We cannot get through a single, four quarter quick game in Madden without some type of game breaking buggy ass shit that becomes difficult to explain to a child.  Plus i've faced a million restrictions trying to set up his child account with EA, which has been ongoing since `23.

We started playing Madden late during the `22 cycle (for free from either EA Play or Playstation+ subscription) and things haven't really improved any since then.  I just let my EA Play expire, trying not to buy any packs this year, heh.  Last year was my first time checking out MUT, got pretty into it for a while.  He was a bit too young to figure out Madden at the time and numerous games resulted in him basically breaking down in tears, because players would warp through one another to make interceptions and on and on it went.  Someday i hope we'll get into NHL as well, but i think that's another EA title, so I'll probably just check out whatever is included for free on PS+.

I have won some online H2H games against god squads, yer absolutely correct about lots of big spenders being absolute garbage at the game, but I think i'm 0-3 in MUT Champs and was barely even able to move the ball.  Felt pretty sweaty, but i'm overdue to check out the new UK game mode with 81 OVR squads.  My passing game has come alive a bit finally, first with RG3 and just recently grabbed Moon at a steep discount.  Appreciate the advice, I'll keep trying.

I am a little over 4 million coins stacked and just play casual. I have completed and fully starred all challenges and play all the solo battles. Not good enough to play H2H so I do basic things in game to get my coins maxed out.  I could be running a 85 overall team as I do have all the RP cards from sets last year plus all free cards we have in game now are pretty much upgraded but just like the challenge using the low overall team I have created.

85 overall.  35 Cowboys.  Gronk, Deion, Ware, Parsons…..every thing else is a base card or freebie from the promos. Won Bo from a Muthead Raffle.  Win half my Champions games and my first Super Bowl this week. $600,000 coins. I pla6 a lot of H2H and coin stacks don’t help me win.  Need MLBs and some oline help, but nothing affordable better than the freebies at this point. My DTs are suspect too.  Took 3 years off after about 10 straight. Zero RPs.

have only played about 15 h2h games so far.  just doing dailies and ah.

82 overall 50/50 Titans TT. Sitting on 800k plus several players are platinum rentals.  Probably 350-400k worth.

Casual but spend some of my free time at work on youtube trying to stay competitive. used to be a no lifer but got married and had a baby.

 I play for up to 2 hours monday, thursday, saturday. Follow a market guy on youtube, do everything he says to do for the first few months and never have to worry about coins again so i can play on my own terms and not be forced into mut champs or grinding seasons for hours on end trying to get good cards. currently free cards are good enough.
