The AP Top 25 Poll is Dumb

I understand that Texas beat Alabama and im happy for them. Hell i even bet gg points on them to win. But why are they going from number 11 ALL the way up to number 4 when imo they shouldnt have gone any higher than maybe 8 or 9. Sure they beat a top 3 team but to go above teams like Penn State and USC who absolutely destroyed their opponents (one a little more than the other). Another thing. Why is Clemson FALLING out of the top 25 after absolutely murdering their opponent this week? Makes no sense.

Penn State and USC both have rosters that completely outclassed their opponents. If they hadn't won, it would've been shocking. Meanwhile, Texas beat one of the best teams in college football. Plus it's early in the season, so the rankings are going to move around a lot, since there aren't many games to base them on. If Penn State/USC are able to keep winning and beat the ranked opponents they have coming up on their schedule, they'll move back up in the rankings--but so far, they haven't proven that much.

I want to defend Penn state with you, they were my childhood team (go NIU huskies now!). But honestly Texas has proven more than they have

I’m happy as long as my team is #1. Just hoping they don’t snooze again against South Carolina. Seeing that matchup upset once was enough for me.

The Saban bama team is gonna get some appreciation as a W in a way that Delaware won’t

turns out 2 people voted them number 1. i prefer the coaches poll. they offer a better insight as they r the ones who actually have to play em

especially this year i think the coaching poll has been a lot better. In what world are we ranking UCLA and Washington State over Clemson because they had a very unlucky and mistake ridden performance against a top 25 team
