I'm Terrible at This Game, Spend Some Money, But Need Help

This is my first year playing MUT, although I've been playing Madden for a while. I have enjoyed it quite a bit, but still struggle against a lot of opponents. I feel like a lot of the games that I win are solely because I have a pretty solid team. I do spend about $50 a week on the game because it helps me enjoy the game and I can spare a few bucks (I do this for MLB/NHL/etc.).

Any advice at all on how to improve my team or approach to the game. I recently sold all of my backup offensive linemen because they never see the field.

Right now, I have around 500,000 coins available and am debating selling some of my other high-value cards that don't see a lot of time on the field.

I use the Packers offensive playbook and 46 defensive playbook. I like to run the ball because it seems like every time I try to throw, I get picked off. I think my biggest issue is play calling on both offense and defense. I generally have a pretty good feel for what kind of play is coming, but I've noticed a lot of opponents will hot route/audible and just completely smoke my secondary almost every play!

Your team is top notch. Seems like you need to just figure out what plays youre good at running.

Maybe not EVERY week lol. But I probably spend more than I should, but oh well... it's just money, I can always make more lol

And thanks for the advice, I think I just need to get more familiar with my play calling style and find out what works. I've found it very difficult to scramble in MUT Champs, so I may try giving a pocket QB a try and see how that goes!

I was just looking through the database and he was the one that stuck out, but his attributes seem pretty similar to Kyler. I'll give him a whirl and if I don't like him, I can always go back I suppose

This is gonna sound like a paid advertisement but a huddle.gg sub is well worth the price.

and it seems like you don’t mind committing a few dollars to the game I would suggest getting in there and learning one offense and one defense. you could start with the simpler stuff.

i can’t say enough about how their gameplans helped me when I was brand new, and help me now.

your team is very good i would recommend upgrading rolb and just playing more games to get better more expercine better you get trying learning meta plays on defense

Team is fine, if it's your first year playing mut don't feel bad. I think I went like 250-350 something in my first year and it was really frustrating, but even NMS I typically have a 3:1 W/L ratio now.

From what I experienced mut is tougher because nobody online has a team with a glaring weakness, vs in CFM or regs you play against teams with 75-79 OVR players constantly. The speed is just different when people's dline and lbs run as fast as your receivers. I also think mut players are just better, and more advanced most of the time, not saying there aren't good regs players too, but the majority of mut players are at least semi competent.

firstly, Just follow the metas, packers book is pretty good, when you run the ball, use an rpo even if you have no plans on trying to throw it. RPOs get better blocking, they freeze AI defenders to keep them from shooting gaps. RPOs until they fix them or take them out of the game. see what kind of formations other players run, and what plays, most people run the same stuff because they watch MCS or youtube.

Secondly, if you are not good at reading coverages watch a video, most guys can break down the tells in 15-20 minutes and that will help a lot vs casual players that do not run these wacky hybrid coverages that you can't predict.

and thirdly? (is that a word? lol) for passing find a handful maybe 1-2 formations that you like, find 5-6 plays in the formation and get really good with those plays and how to attack each coverage 0/1/2/3/4/6 with at least 4 plays per formation (those would be your audibles). once you get good with 1-2 formations add a 3rd, 4th, and so on. Coach suggestions isn't going to be viable for long.
