I'm getting my butt handed to me thoroughly, now 6-15 in MUT champs. It's tough. I would be 7-14 except I was somehow disconnected from an ez win I was up 4 possessions by half time, lmao. Don't even know how that happened because I never disconnected and I'm hardwired (not on wifi) haha, ridiculous. Anyway, I can't blame luck because I'm playing real bad. I am getting killed everywhere. Seems I have no clue how to call a defense and my offense is hit or miss. If I start throwing a pick or 2 it's easily game over. I don't even know where to start, but I guess if people who have been in this spot before have any tips or resources for help (for free) that improved their game I'd really appreciate it.

Indeed. Looking up stuff on defensive adjustments and seeing I actually wasn't doing shading and universal coverage right so at least that'll help.
I found myself in the same spot when I first changed to new gen.
I recommend just looking up tutorials and different schemes/adjustments on youtube. This helps alot and you can always adjust these schemes to better fit your playstyle

Been doing this...it helps win more games but I'm not sure it really helps learn how to account for a variety of situations. I feel learning concepts and finer details of how the game works might be more important than this, because knowing those things would likely help you adjust better anyways. For example, I just learned that match coverage only works if you call a light purple (almost pink) colored zone such as cover 3 seam, but calling standard cover 3 with the dark purple apparently disables this. Or so I hear...but I would like to know how to confirm something like that beyond hearing it from a guy on youtube. And then, does match coverage get canceled if you opt for hard flats or cloud flats?
Don't get me wrong, your suggestion is good and will help with what I'm talking about anyway, so I will be doing it more. I definitely need it, or any help I can get. Hopefully I'll win myself a superb 🦉some time this year.

Match is broken right now. dont use it, ever. Until the patch comes that fixes it you will find that some of the zones just quit and leave people wide open. Not supposed to be that way

this is just bad advice, whoever gave it to you is not like that lmao. match still works with all types of purples on the field. The thing that gets broken with match is the quarters, they'll match on completely random routes all the time. Only way to fix it is by halfing both inside quarters, but that kinda ruins match. Swapping your purples for hard flats dont cancel it UNLESS you have zone drops on. Zone drops will override everything, even if you have match on in your zone settings. If you're really willing to learn (which is sick) there's a lot of good channels, and a lot of TERRIBLE channels. Even though I hate him, Zan's channel is really good to learn from, as well as Civil. Don't really watch many videos like that, but I know that those two are atleast decent at the game and you can trust their opinion lmao.
