Thinking of chasing Walter

First time Ive seriously considered upgrading from Rhamondre if I can swing it (other tham when I was talked out of trying Bo for his better speed and athletic ratings) and it got me thinking two things 1. Why does NOBODY seem to ever mention him (87 HL Rhamondre Stevenson) among their top backs in the game? Is it just because he doesnt have the high end long speed? He has everything else and hes not "slow" per se at 85 speed. Granted Im a Pats fan so Im biased but hes been great for me.

2. Whats Walters price gonna be tomorrow and what will it eventually settle around you think?

probably around 700-800k on drop, settle around simmons price of 630-680k range.

only takes a few hours to make 500k in the ah, just grind ah

because power backs are too slow and their first step is awful when everyone on defense has 87-89 speed lol. And the fact swift was up to 900k I see him easily being around the same price. Doubt he  drops to the 600k range until next week

Scalping, building sets... a little of everything, what's yer approach if you don't mind me asking?  Not trying to ape in on yer action, but curious what strategy you've been employing.  After earning my first 1-2M i got sick of running only Rookie Premiers and began investing in my squad, which probably wasn't the best idea so early on.  Couldn't resist Deion, Jerry, etc. (and Bo will forever remain legendary, not quite Tecmo Bowl, but still amazing).  Game is more fun for me if I have a bunch of Niners on my roster... got a little antsy.

Now that we have the companion app available, I may start testing the waters once more.  Without hardly trying, i managed to save up another ~2.5M just recently... but i did purchase Sherman for the ole Niner theme team last evening, so guess that's more liek 2.3M at the moment.  Not trying to get a MUT economics degree, I'd prefer to play the damn game... but as you pointed out, doesn't seem to be terribly difficult, although some luck and timing is almost always involved.

Bo Jackson (a Power back archetype) has been one of, if not the best HB in the entire game for a couple weeks, at least, no?  I'm not trying to suggest you are wrong here, merely trying to continue educating myself on actual differences between archetypes.  This is my second MUT squad, lots to learn, lots to learn.

It's true, though. Once someone shares what's working on the market, most cases the profit potential has already faded away. The windows are short.

A general tip for Legend Saturdays like today: Buy up pieces that people sell for cheap, they'll usually go up as the week goes on. Opportunities like this come.

The biggest hit for me in 24 was earlier in the year with high elites. People didn't know to price them, and there's always undercutting. So many 10k+ profit snipes selling when the supply cools down. This has nearly died now, but just an example.

Sets are rarely worth the effort now, though. EA has figured out how to make them not fun over the years. The Campus Heroes 88 set is an outlier which is probably still profitable, but IMO set searching isn't great anymore.

I went from Hines to Edmonds and now using Bo because his price dropped. No regrets and Bo isn't slow imo and don't know why people think that is the case but if the coins were not an issue I'd obviously go Walter.

The collective vibe from the several who convinced me to pass on Bo said his speed etc stats were misleading and didn't show up on the field much. The other comments said alot were he just "felt clunky" and "too big" etc (though im probably already used to that with the slightly slower but similarly built Rhamondre whos been my back since I pulled him early af with no complaints) so I decided to wait. Id like to try walter, or even the new swift though, as a change of pace speed back to compliment rhamondre if he werent so expensive. All the other guys people recommended are no faster than even Stevenson lol like edmonds so for now I wait.
