Why did EA buff Dline picks and increase fumbles

I felt like the beginning of the year, for EA standards, the game was playing pretty well.  But all of a sudden now DT can catch the "just got the ball off" pass or tip drills and pick 6 ppl.  Also even with the best RBs in the game I can cause a fumble pretty much twice a game.   Why did they introduce all the RNG elements back into the game.  It was finally at a decent state in my opinion where it felt like the best user control won the game (but not with fumbles and DT pick 6s). I feel like its back to random things altering the game and we havent even got to the OP abilities portion of the game yet.
