Are defensive depth overrides busted?

I just played a game against a guy who ran two plays the entire game, hb smash and another one that was the same exact concept. Basically just deep corner routes. On one side he had tyreek hill and gronk, and on the other megatron. I tried everything I could think of, but the side I wasn’t usering was wide open every single play. That includes: depth overrides to 25, then 30, overtop and outside shadowing, running various cover threes and cover fours including those where the deep flat is by a safety, manning the corner route up (with Ramsey). No matter what I did, they were seemingly always out of position in the same place — 5 yds in front and sitting there just outside the hash.

Who are your corners? If they don't meet the zone thresholds for zone coverage, that might be an issue. I noticed when I was using Jaylen Watson, he'd struggle with curl flats.

They’re all 90+ zone

for me personally cover 2 w/ the flats set to 25-30 works for this, leaves you open underneath so I do this and set my mid zones to like 5-10 then user anything over the middle/inbetween that. then I adjust it as needed to what the person is doing, but realistically the game is broken, it's not possible to cover everything every play, if someone is good you won't be able to cover it all, blitz and really good user is pretty much the best bet.

I've seen a lot of talk of zone defense being bad this year even with players that have 90 zone coverage. So there might be an adjustment to fix it but it also could just be broken this year

I'm not sure then. Zone coverage seems broken half the time in this madden. Seems pretty inexcusable that the counter for corners routes doesn't even work right.
