MUT has been a big disappointment this year so far for me, I haven't touched it since Vick dropped. I moved over to regs and I been grinding money games on GS. Idk if it's the rewards system (Specifically MUT Champs is fucked) or the constant feeling of having to keep up with the newest and best cards or you're at a disadvantage (Speed or abilities or a certain rating threshold is finally met). The gameplay is finally fucking good after so many years, I'm actually enjoying the game right now. I wish the comp seen would move back to regs so MUT would die but EA is way to greedy and I also understand you can get a ton of content out of it.
personally the way to fix MUT is to bring back the diversity of cards. There were very few complete players to ever play in the nfl, and it should be reflected in the cards. Make route running matter, slow player with quick feet should play as such.
Couldn't disagree more with the point that gameplay is good. This is the worst pile of thrown together animations that seem to trigger randomly that I've played. One game DIME is the best Run-D in the game (which it shouldnt be) the next game it gets gashed like it should. The game is wildly inconsistent, even when high tresholds are met like 90 zone, players play like they suffered a stroke or ball out. You just never know.
As to needing the best cards in the game to compete.: I started 6-1 in Mut Champs, upgraded my team, got Polamalu and Simmons, added Prime as well. Running the same Over G I did prior, but since upgrading my Defense is complete trash the past 3 games. Can't get a single blockshed, Polamalu, Simmons and Taylor all have 90 zone and will not react to anything even inches away from them.

I should rephrase "good", I meant the gameplay is much better than it has been the last couple years. We all want a consistent game bro that would obviously create the best competitive experience. But EA has proven that they're here for the randomness lol which I guess is more "realistic" if thats what they're going for.
I ran into CleffTheGod when I was playing MUT last month and I just couldn't compete with a team like that all themed up and millions of coins invested everywhere it's wild. My team was better than most but at the highest level that shit matters big time.
