Banned / Suspended for Companion App?

I logged on tonight, noticed the auction house wasn't working. Thought this buggy ass game had desynced me or something, restarted my PS5 game client. Nope, I got banned possibly from using mobile Companion app to buy during today's market crash. Hoping this is an automated bot raging on me, but as of right now things are not looking good. Wasn't quite ready to retire from MUT, but I can't keep dealing with this nonsense. Guess we'll see what Terms of Service team says. I emailed them to dispute. Glad I haven't spent any money on packs, I'd be even more furious right now. I definitely have never bought coins. Managed to catch Easter Egg pack glitch during `23, but that's about it... this bites hard. 😡

The addicts spamming the app trying accumulate virtual coins for a game they claim to hate are the ones always getting banned.

Sorry to hear that OP... I guess that's a side benefit of staying on old gen.  We don't seem to have access to the companion app... otherwise I'd be on it a ton today.

If it really was for app usage, and you didn't break TOS, open a ticket at help.ea.com and stay after it. You can get unbanned, but you need to keep pushing on the ticket, and have someone physically review your account.

Yeah, you do t get that message by mistake. The way your using the companion app triggered something.  look at how you use that app and don’t do it anymore.  The “I didn’t do anything” doesn’t fly. I’ve used the app for the last few years with no Issues

Thank you kindly for the detailed and specific advice, Legend sir. I assure you I wouldn't be here posting and drawing further attention if I was buying coins (or anything) on the secondary market. I opened an EA Help support ticket last night before posting here. Figured many folks would be far more knowledgeable, but wasn't convinced any "help" exists from that EA ToS team. 

I have two possible/plausible explanations. I refuse to give EA anymore cash out of principle at this point. I bought a few MUT Points (roughly sixty dollars worth, using my PlayStation Stars saved up over a couple years), but other than that and the Deluxe edition, I've been NMS since.

The bottom fell out of the market yesterday, dramatically affecting prices. Hoping I've just run afoul of nonsense automated bots banning me. I've collected a ton of random 49ers players and sold rare Gold cards at near max pricing this week, taking my coin count from ~2.2M to nearly 3.7M in roughly a week. I made a bunch of coin when CMC was released and my beloved 49ers theme teams were in high demand, but wasn't until I used the Companion app to buy cards yesterday that I got my auction house access locked. 

I took a page out of EA's book. Rather than trying to sell cards to the majority of players, I was focused on selling to the whales and Comp players that don't think twice about dropping 100k coins on a common Gold backup player. It was low volume, but extremely high margin. However, I am merely speculating. I'm not sure I'll ever know why.

I'm definitely an addict, just not a degenerate gambler. Rolling MUT packs doesn't get me off all that much, it's more hollow and empty than crack cocaine or heroin. I want to check out a bunch of new cards, but my theme team never changes, it always has been 49ers and always will be 49ers, so at most I'm buying 2 new cards per week. Most weeks there have been zero new Niners players released.

I'll often build sets for new players to try out, specifically this week was Isaiah Simmons and Vita Via (for Inside Stuff), then I use the cards on my roster for an evening/weekend and immediately list them on auction house, often for profit, before moving on. It's so early in the year, cards barely stay relevant for a week or two, it's ridiculous to chase that shit, unless it's a really important skill position player. Even then, Warren Moon's Gunslinger ability probably isn't much different than anyone else's, The Captain (Luck) or otherwise.

Is the companion app official or sanctioned? Is using it a potential negative from EA's insane rules and policies?

It's developed and supported by EA. Very much official.

doing business with MMOEXP will get your account banned.

Selling golds for 100k will trigger EA because that's what coin sellers do.

Good luck, but you're probably screwed if you really did that.

I believe coin sellers use random uniforms to sell for 1M+ to avoid triggering these alerts, at least based on my own assumptions.  They're probably doing me a favor, this game is hardly worth the heartache.

Here's the actual / official message.  I was setting whatever the listed "max price" is for gold cards, it's ridiculous how many of those actually sold.  I simply mirrored what EA is already doing to the customer base, i didn't feel good about it, but better than pumping cash into packs of virtual playing cards that'll be outdated by next week... i've been doing this since `23, but was wildly successful as soon as 49ers theme team became fashionable, due to Run CMC release.
