EA Needs to get it together

I may take some heat for this given that I am on old gen... but

This menu lag is borderline unacceptable, as it had gotten to the point that I can not buy a card without my game crashing

It takes 5 minutes to complete a set and another 10 on top of it to navigate through the menus

I've always given EA the benefit of the doubt, but as a loving, paying customer, its gone too far

has anyone else had these problems?

I agree this should work because you bought the game, even if it's on a dead console.  My hope is they no longer make old gen Madden next year so they don't have to put any more energy into it

Would be nice for most games to do this. After 3-4 years of current gen, axe old gen but it makes too much money to still do both. Especially games like GTA/EA/etc

In years past, I haven't felt the need to purchase a new console because it was still a functioning game on old gen. However, it has now become increasingly clear that EA has stopped catering to their customers on the Xbox One/PS4 consoles. Unfortunately, for some weird reason, in 2023, it is impossible to transfer your team and assets between generations of consoles, so it looks like I am stuck on with these conditions until Madden 2025. Shame

I understand what you meant saying you might take heat for the post but there shouldn’t be one person downplaying your post. You purchased a game that was advertised for your console… it should function for you lol. sad thing is (someone can correct me if I’m wrong) that they haven’t even acknowledged the issue. They Immediately tweeted issues being worked on for the new unstoppable X factors but haven’t even noted that they are working on making your version playable.

Is that new? I switched from old gen to current gen mid season last year and all my stuff transfered just fine.

You know what I do not understand, why is EA taking so long to address the issue, not fixing the issue but noticing a problem with old gen. Wouldn't you think the player count has dropped? But you know god forbid they forget to drop a promo.

Those problems aren’t exclusive to old gen lol, next gen has laggy menus, matchmaking issues, kicking me out of games and the menu, losing random packs to the void, you name an issue EA hasn’t fixed it lol

You have to ACTUALLY play on old gen to actually know how bad it is

It has definitely gotten terrible. 2 weeks ago i was fine but this past weekend was terrible.

it's happened to me and I haven't played since the update. it's like torture navigating through the game. EA SPORTS is garbage and I hope they lose rights to Madden. I'm on old Gen (PS4)

So I have a series x with both versions installed and my buddy has a Xbox (I believe it’s Xbox slim model?) and I did this test on each: started in item binder, backed to menu, entered sets, then scrolled to 72-73 ovr set and redeemed a pack. 
series x version (series x): 28 seconds to complete.  Xbox version (series x): 45 seconds to complete.

Xbox version (xbox slim): 3 minutes  6 seconds to complete the 2nd trial; the first trial it crashed. 

  I will try and make a video of it later so you can see actual data and not just a “trust me bro”. I’m sure a lot of people think it’s an exaggeration to say it’s unplayable but Xbox version on an original Xbox console is not at an acceptable level right now.
