I've seen civil's videos, twitter discussions, and many more rants on this topic. but most people want to solve defense by allowing zones to play better.
The question is how?
ZONE (for me at least has been pretty good, don't have the best team 84 OVR TT with millions of coins.) has been an issue to some but tbh people want it to be psychic and not even look at the quarterback and break when the ball is thrown. the abilities don't even help it either. and the animations are built for every viable defender to knock the ball out even though it's not worth sending 3 ap to each corner or safety to apply it towards.
Nerfing the edges wasn’t even helpful at all either, neutralizing all edge and interior threat abilities, and outside edge run stuffing abilities with just subpar 80 OVR lineman was practically the dumbest thing they could have possibly done. If you're gonna nuke coverage you have to have some sort of counteract to better get to the quarterback or running back running inside zone. Out of trips set or any bunch shotgun sets.
Finally the player decisions, i complain about this last year and their reviving this crap again, 6”6 pitts 6”4 metcalf 6”4 megatron 6”5 brian finneran i mean there’s a reason OOP is always gonna be around and yes there are some people who hate OOP but when the tallest DB in league history is 6”4 and they drop a guy like carmichael who’s 6”10 and fast there’s no-one close to any of these height’s in league history outside the guy who was listed on the opposite end of him. EA has a catalog of NFL HALL OF FAMERS, and refuses to get more interesting and lesser known names who are not skywalkers into the game.
what are your guys takes on offense and defense?
