Does Height Matter?

I know for Taller and heavier RBs like Derrick Henry they fight for extra yards and get the fall forward animation, but for DBs and WRs does it really matter? I’m only saying this cuz I threw a high pass lob to Carmichael with possession catch on a streak, which he typically comes down with one-on-one, and somehow 91 ovr Ronnie Lott intercepts it w/o jumping nor abilities just snags it from Carmichael. I mean it’s a one-on-one jump ball with a 6’8 WR and you mean to tell me he missed the catch (which can’t be helped sometimes), but gets mossed by someone almost a foot shorter.

I've heard that setting your cornerback matchups to be based on height using coaching adjustments can be helpful when your defense is in the red zone. It makes sense, but I keep forgetting to give it a try.
