I do this not only with formations but entire playbooks as well. It really just helps with overall football knowledge of play design and how to attack/defend everything which should be the goal anyway.

the problem is, the madden plays/adjustments don't usually work like they are supposed to, running dollar & bunch really just makes you a cheeser w/ less actual knowledge of football/setups because it's just overpowered in certain aspects. those bunch plays are typically super easy to run you just load it and make reads, something's always open. not too much to it, people use it because they are easy

just set it in coaching adjustments & do nothing then, user everything underneath. still pretty effective. if they aren't throwing deep or don't have a million wr's on the field you don't need it, you can just play regular defense.

This is s really good scheme but it's Madden 24 and right now offense is King.... so there's always a way...which is.why most MCS games are TDs on every possession. 

The offense could force this D into hard flats, Then add  a Texas route once the defense switches to hard flats..... but mainly people would jjust run the ball with a.power back like D'onta against this setup , or spam RPOs.

Sadly, it's pretty impossibl  to play effectiv  D against a good player :(

to me making them throw a bunch of hard flats a game is alot better than giving up the big play, I never switch to hard flats, I just dial it back according to how close I am to the goal line if needed. you can user the gap on d'onta, I have 3 big jokers in there, vita vea, lawrence guy, and grady jarrett, people can pretty much power run rpo against any defense tbh. taking away the downfield big play is my biggest concern, if you have to run the ball 100 times or throw the flats 100 times I consider it a win because i'm definately going to outscore them, 1 fumble, or mistake, and they lost.

Good players have no problem grinding downfield though.  I'll take a 12.play scoring drive that takes up a quarter and 1/2 any day . Keeps my opponents offense off the field. 

Also forces them to try to push the ball downfield to score quickly.  My defense is solid and.91 OVR so I have horses at all positions. I'm good with a long drive and then making my opponent try to force the ball

I get that a bunch of people don't want to play a long sweaty game though

the game just isn't really coded properly it's not much else you can do, alot of people aren't going to hold value in long sweaty games because at the end of the day there are basically trick plays and overpowered stuff, if everything was coded official then yeah.

beating me by throwing 100 flats and winning by a point is cool but? I wouldn't hold much value to it, you just held the ball more.

But that's what Madden has come to right? Some random glitch or one bad animation and you lose the game or win .

It's not even about who is better or calls a better game anymore. 

All these sweaty games based on terrible coding.... makes  me kind of sad as a football fan for 50 years and a Madden player since 1988.

Amen to that........... I've been playing since madden was created as well, lol..... I typically get really excited about it when it first comes out for a while then taper off in enthusiasm a month or so in.......

some ideas i thought might be cool would be to do alot of setting up stuff before you get in game, playbooks, adjustments/lineups, jerseys, accessories/ cosmetics etc but they never really take it to that next level. it seems like a ton of customization they could explore.

This. I've been trying to do a lot more adjustments pre snaps lately and about 30% I'm left with my dick in my hand usering a DL. I need to get good at the quick adjustments so I can stay on my user without having to switch people to do it.. Ill have to try the 3-3 Tampa. Does it work out of Cub too? I get scared of cover 2 cause of the deep stuff but the audible to a deep middle is smart for sure. I'll have to try it out
