"offensive ability cap exceeded"

Keep getting various error messages when trying to set my offensive abilities/xfactors etc

It keeps going back and forth between deactivating everyone on its own but keeps telling me it will exceed when I try to set it up on my own, even with everything showing deactivated 0/3 x factors 0/7 ap etc showing, yet I go to start adding them in by starting with Aikman (hed be the first of any of those slots and would have gift wrapped, gs, wnd hrm for a total of six ap and his x factor which is zero ap, no one else active yet, and it starts giving error messages. Anyone run into this?

I've had this happen. There's a bug where not all of your active players are shown on the activation screen. You have to hold LT and sort them differently to get players to show up. Then you can deactivate someone you didn't know was active. I'm not 100% sure you have the same issue I had, but that's what solved it for me.

Thanks man, i eventually got it to go away by just moving around hitting random buttons etc. figured it was a glitch of some sort just wasnt sure how to fix it or what might cause it 🤷‍♂️

This also happens if you take someone out of your lineup without deactivating their x factor & abilities.

So wait ✋ you are saying that the game is about upgrading players to give you an edge like real sports team do and they say we are too strong ? Umm yeah that is why I wait till then end of each title and play franchise mode. MUT has and always will be just a goofy version of the real Madden football. I kind of understand but then I think and say ? Why does EA not have a match maker program like tons of other games do. In Clash of Clans we are paired within 10% up or down as it varies. Even though it varies the math is always good. Guess EA just makes money not invest into player liking 🙄
