Running with Ricky

Can’t figure this back out. What kind of runs are his bread n butter? coming from using Frank gore and Ricky feels clunky. I only played one game with him with no abilities but just wanted to hear from anyone who is balling with Ricky Dubb to holler and lemme know what it is that really gets him goin. Thanks in advance

I'm not great at running the ball but I like how he's performing for me. I call a lot of inside zone from 2 TE pistol and shotgun formations in the colts playbook. Occasionally, I mix in some stretch, read option, and rpo plays.

Gotcha. Ya I think each “top back” has their own style of runs that they are particularly good at. I got used to calling outside zones with Frank, guess I gotta get back to running in between the tackles.

I agree he feels clunky and weird maybe is the weight at 230 idk, he's still in my lineup but I went back to all day, and use Ricky mainly as gl back since he always falls forward for yds when getting tackled

Ya I was able to figure out the fully boosted Derrick henry and pretty sure Williams is similar . Not gonna run around people but rather over them. Ya Ricky got a juke but I’m not trying to live off the juke. I like running without speed boost until that 4-5 yard mark just gotta find the right runs in my playbook for him.  Maybe even change playbooks

Are you on old gen or current gen? If I remember correctly human joystick wasn't very good on current gen last year but it was one of the best abilities on old gen. Not sure if that's changed this year.

I used Henry too, I liked him but realized it's that I like elusive backs better, JKM is the best move IMO so that's why I like all day, he feels more agile - must have to do with him being an elusive back, and get his JKM to 90 with sweets

I'm super pass first - use all my APs on my QB which is another reason why I like Peterson, his x factor is really easy to activate and 0 AP

Alright just had to get him in practice mode a bit. Don’t use turbo until the 4th or 5th step at least . He’s a monster

yes, this is confirmed, once you sprint blocks get released, don't sprint until minimum you break through the LOS

Yup. On ps5. It helps a ton if I’m being honest. First used it with Peterson and haven’t been able to go back.

i Just use set feet lead on aikman and juman joystick on Ricky. still don’t know what to do with that 1 extra ap
