What abilities should I he running and is there any upgrades that I NEED to make right now?

Unless, you're run heavy I think you should be using one of set feet lead or hot route master on your qb. Depends on your scheme which one I would recommend. SFL if you don't make a lot of adjustments, HRM if you do.
Gunslinger is another ability a lot of people run on their qbs.
Juke box is the other ability I would almost consider a must have
Defense is more open. I like lurk artist LBs if you can get them. Pick artist is a decent option as well. Some KO abilities may also be worth considering if they fit your scheme. Inside stuff is the final ability I would recommend considering. on defense
