I have kurt warner with gunsinger and the faster throwing speed thing too, But I Just added jamarr and im was gonna give him his extra 4 hot routes. thats 2 ap tho
It can be and often is. The deciding factor for me is how you feel about your Qb's release. I know a lot of people dislike generic 2 (warner's release) so they often run gunslinger. If you feel like you miss a lot of throws because of how long it takes your qb to throw gunslinger is a good idea.

I would recommend you try out the extra hot routes on chase and see if you can play without gunslinger. I know I just said gunslinger can be very good. But more hot routes are one of the few things I might value more than it.
Gunslinger is always worth it, unless you don’t throw or only play solo battles.
Gun Slinger is one of the best abilities in the game...so...is it worth it? Yep...it is.

This is the correct solution to the question posed. Although, i also feel the same way about velocity abilities, they seem ridiculously overpowered and have completely changed my game since acquiring Kurt Warner from the 1 of 3 All Madden final Field Pass pack reward. I had to give up RB Apprentice, but zero regrets. Coming from Vick's 88 OVR Legends (and that sweet, sweet Slinger 1 release, albeit nerfed this year), there's a noticeable difference in releases, however adding Gunslinger mostly offsets the otherwise lackluster Gen 2.
For the record, my ability stack = GS, SFL + GW for total of 7AP. Terrible reads that would have been picks in the past are now turning into dots, Kurt fits balls into ridiculously tight windows, throws that would have been impossible prior to SFL. I'm mostly a statue in the pocket, so i don't miss the speed escaping the pocket, but roll outs are much more difficult these days, small trade-off.
As far as online H2H play is concerned, you'll almost always want Gunslinger.
