Is a +6 in rbp really worth a 180k upgrade?
I assume you mean finesse. And no only run block matters in the formula, rbk. I believe weight is in the equation also. The opposite for pass blocking, only power and finesse stats matter.

Thanks, this is fantastic advice. I wasn't aware of the slight differences between run and pass blocking. Weight seems to matter significantly more this year, than during `23 -- at least based on my limited experience. Due to that, i barely used big John Madden on the O-line, he did alright, but often felt he was getting pushed around. Not the case with his 99 OVR, i assume based on having 99 STR (and other relevant stats), he was constantly pancaking folks despite the low(ish) weight.
Will have to go back and try to dig up that Twitter thread you mentioned.

Yeah it might take a bit of a search but you can find it. We in the past had someone post an awesome spreadsheet type deal that ranked the lineman based on the formula, weight etc, but haven't seen it yet this year.

Thank you!!
The general quick maffs for how good a lineman is, Str + Awr + Weight. The higher all of those are the better.

Cool, would be great to have an updated spreadsheet.
Also hope someone tracks down the original mutleaks codes, would be helpful to many who have never seen them.
I briefly looked but it was posted years ago now at this point and I just dont have the patience to look through all that

Yeah trying to go through Reddit/Twitter history isnt the easiest

Thank you, i saw some other list that hadn't been updated in a while, i thought originated on or from same MUTVault site. Granted, this was back around when Rookie Premiers were just coming out.
STR + AWR + Weight is a good back of the napkin calculation, but i'm currently missing a natural position LG and have been tinkering trying to determine who is the best player to run OOP on my O-line. I assume that many/most of the positions hardly matter, correct? So an OT running at Guard would have equal ability in both run and pass blocking schemes as they would at Tackle. Am i close with these assumptions?
I did grab a LG from Blitz with the remainder of my tickets before they expired, but his Awareness stat is horrendous, mostly grabbed him for the SPD, in case i want to have an option for pulling guard in the run game. For the moment, i've got Lincoln Kennedy at LG, moved the Harvest BND Rob Havenstein in at RT (who has a bunch of 90s for a freebie, excellent card).

Yes the abilities/stats don't change if their OOP.. Ill do this with safeties if they don't have the secondary chem and I like the combo...
Always wondered why a RG will drastically drop in OVR after being moved to LG... Same position essentially? Doesn't make sense

I guess there are tons of folks that really stress out over that OVR rating on their team, but seems basically meaningless to me. I know tons of folks were running Safeties at Corner to start the year, because all the true CBs were horrendous with Zone stat (and/or short). I just ran a ton of Man schemes to start the year, only in the past couple/few weeks have i mostly converted back to Zone. Primarily for those KO abilities.
After a ~week of tinkering and stressing, i think i've finally settled on my O-line. Any suggestions or recommendations you would make here? Big Trent Brown is an absolute monster with 94 STR. Have Sweet Feet in as backup for bonus chems, but he was my LG for a while. Other potential choices:
- LT Redux - 90 OVR Laremy Tunsil -- overall this card seems fantastic, but i prioritized pure STR over AWR in this particular instance.
- LG Blitz - 89 OVR Steve Avila -- he's fast, i needed to spend Blitz Tickets before they went poof.
- Considered maxing out Kevin Mawae at Center once i replace Eric Berry (SS) with new Darren Woodson that is coming, either that or the new TE Team Captain.

Yeah oop doesn’t matter anymore so I usually replace my oldest when I get new ones. If you run lots of pulling or sweeps you’ll want speed/acc on guards as well.
and your C awr will replace the lowest awr on the line as well so makes a bit easier.
thats why max Mawae is pretty good for C since he’ll usually have the highest stats or you can plug him anywhere on the line

Wow I had no idea. Good info for sure. I always try for highest RBK OL, but I would also try for the Finesse and Power to be as high as possible as well. Good to know that that doesn't matter. And now that I think about it, just another way for EA to manipulate player overalls lol. Figures.

Speaking of PBF.... I was looking for the +1 chem from a coach and no coach has +1 chem for PBF? Is that right? I figured all chems would be covered with the coaches

I'm guessing the next update on them has way more beneficial attributes. I'm pretty sure the field pass has an epic strat so I'd guess it's coming at some point soon.
But you're right the coach boosts are missing a few, only so many coaches I guess.
