I’ve been seeing a lot of people talk about it and use it, but what does it actually do defensively to benefit you?
Basically it converts to man depending on the route concepts of the receivers. it’s adjust on the fly. And once you know the rules you get a free player to user and take away certain areas.
You can also play split field coverages and run two different coverages on the field or boundary side.
Basically if a receiver goes thru a defenders zone they with "match" to them and man them up. Its a def that requires fewer adjustments than man or zone drops but requires in my experience better user play since double routes into certain zones can affect it. For example...if there's a deep post the corner he ran by will lock onto him and the deep blue will bracket coverage on him also...but if there's an out underneath it then its open cuz the corner leaves that zone
