Looks like it was patched and there is a limit on the amount of retires you can do.

It patched, but patched in the most lazy way. You now have a limit on how many times you can retire per day, but that now means I cant reitre anymore when the game disconnects. So now im locked out of the event again and wont have access until i can retire again tomorrow
